MMAO - Game: Burgertime buffalo n.y

I have a cell phone, not a computer I can dissect with, like I said,I'd expect this from Craigslist or ebay, it's my bad ,but I did ask about cab condition and was told it had typical scrapes and bruises . I've bought many machines and sold many machines on this site and have been a member for awhile, I'm no newb, but my bad for trusting I suppose.

What I thought I was getting was a solid cab with "typical wear for age" a working machine that just needed a cap kit.

What I received was a water logged cab with a missing corner, dead monitor and messed up boardset lol.so basically a busted game with a busted cab

But the positive is that, no water damage after clean up, I had another monitor, and a local friend swapped boardset for a working one (for a fee) .I will eventually have the g07 repaired that came with it (already capped but still messed up) .

Seller had friend deliver it,it was wrapped well, but for the 20 bucks I saved I'll go with navl next time . I wouldn't give a crap about a dead monitor on delivery, but ad everything together and I'm disappointed.

You can tell something is up with that corner in both pictures of it. I would have asked for better lit and up close pics at that point. The seller probably assumed you could see the condition of the corner and could have provided additional pics if you asked. Your lucky they gave you $150 back in the deal in my opinion.

I hope to sell you an arcade someday, and I'll make sure that I assume alot.

Because that part of the game is in the dark, I can see how that was missed by the OP. Only now that I know it's damaged, I can see the t-molding bulges out some. Like the OP, I might have missed this at first glance. And because it's KLOV there's a sense of trust here. Like we're all in this crazy thing together. If I was selling a game, I would disclose something like that. That's not a small nick/scrape.

Exactly! You summed that up perfectly. It's not a small nick/scrape ,it's a missing Fricken corner! That was conviently "Un mentioned "

Only issue is, that a lot of people ( Myself included) - would rather pay MORE out of the gate and have a pristine game, than any cash back and be stuck with a "project" of sorts.

Once a game is delivered, well .. . . . It's kinda a strong-arm situation.

I normally request a quick video of all angles of said cabinets and a short game play.
It enhances my trust in the transaction for sure! :p

If it makes you feel better, this one time I bought a used 2001 Yamaha GPR 1200 Waverrunner for $4500. Get it home and out on the water riding, it doesn't seem to be pulling like it should, but I don't know since I never owned one, and the motor blows up within 45 minutes of riding. New $750 cylinder + pistons/rings (for 3 cylinders, gaskets, etc) racking up to $1500 total in parts and it blows up again. It winds up being that between one connecting rod and crank there where these washers completely missing and an intermittent crank air leak and who knows what else. Long story short it would of cost so much to fix it correctly that I could of bought a brand new machine nine years newer for the same price so I had no other choice other than to cut my losses and sell the machine blown up as a project machine for $3000 so I took a pretty hard hit on that one! Yea, wanna talk about being really stressed out with a foul purchase! Being that it was blown up I felt like I was lucky to even get $3000 for it! (it's a popular hull people like to put Seadoo RXP motors in and the hull was minty so I got lucky there, or else it would of been a total loss!)

^Brand new piston with about 40 minutes on it!

There, hope my more extreme sorrow helped brighten your day, lol. I hope whatever way you roll it works out for you - stress sucks the life out of you more than anything. But just imagine how I felt losing thousands, not hundreds on a bad purchase! ;)

I wonder if most games with water damage on the bottoms is due to the games being in locations where the floors got mopped aggressively daily where the person mopping kinda sloshed water against the cab. My Centipede has water swelling and metal bracing along the bottom edges but it doesn't bother me that much because the rest of the cab looks real good and it powers on and works which is the main thing, heh. Good luck.

when i get a serious buyer that wants me to ship a game,,
photos , videos and as much as i can describe .
even when the machine is getting picked up.. i film it.

Yes I brought that upon myself lol. I wish there was a local guy I could just pay to fix up cab as it is thoroughly pissing me off, unfortunately I do not know of anyone, I'll just deal with it, I've been offered 850 for it as is, so that makes me feel a little better about the whole process I suppose. I'll just fix the front and put a kick panel on it,and fix the corner in the far far future I suppose. I'm just pissed I bought this piece of shit in the first place, but it's in the past and time to stop crying, and I won't forget "buyer beware " I expect this crap from Craigslist and ebay but not on klov! Oh well

Drop it off at my shop for two weeks.
You pay for the stuff , ill repair the cab and get the monitor running.

Remind me to buy whatever you're selling. Good man. That's the way it should be.

But seriously, I hope one day you're selling a game I need. Shipping games is the norm for me. :D

Yup! If that corner was addressed from the beginning I would of passed on it with no regards to price,I simply don't want this type of headache, dead monitor or boards are no biggie,as I can simply send those out for repair. I definitely don't need pristine condition. Holes, gouges, any take off cab parts, cpo's, even sideart doesn't bother me, but missing corners that need to be fabricated and sanded etc, I don't have time for that shit.
