I just did the bob roberts rebuild on a bump n jump power supply board. And I have forgotten which way to connect the bottom of the 2 connectors to the power supply board.

I think it's black wire towards the top. I went through the schematic on crazykong the best I could and couldn't figure it out.

Anyone have time to take a look at theirs for me?

May as well ask as well, where do you test voltages on the power board while the main pcb is disconnected?

I am going to quote my own pictures here.

The connector on the board going from top down has 6 pins a space then 5 pins.
The molex in the 2nd picture has 6 pins a space then 5(4 and a blank) seems reasonable to hook it up with the 6 wire section to the 6 pin section huh?

I dunno if I understand your second question, but the black wire on the connector DOES go towards the top. I have a BNJ/BT psu board with harness sitting on my shelf and I just looked at it.

cool, thanks. that's what I thought.

how does a guy test the voltages on this power supply board? and I assume you adjust the 3 pots if they are off?

No clue on testing nor pots. But one would assume the pots adjust output voltages  I'd just give it AC and start metering at the output pins (to harness/PCB) ?

Prob at the edge connector.... Did not see any test points on the scematics...

OK well all of my voltages are good. +12 is 12.5 and +5 is 5.06 or so.

So I did this before hooking the pcb up.

NOw I am uncertain which way to put the harness onto the board. In particular the smaller of the 2.

The chart that mike just showed me shows the "green" on the parts side and the "red" on the solder side. Typically these have the wire as the same color as the color it represents for the monitor.

I mention this because it would be an odd twist to the connector to get the green wire towards the front of the pcb and be parts side.

help on connecting this back up?

well a quick look at the edge connector shows me that the green wire (that I was worried about) belongs on the solder side.

This is why I ALLWAYS take photos with my phone before I start unplugging everything.... :)

Even though most things are keyed... sometimes they are not.... Helped alot with my Space Invaders Multi/HS Kit...

Having an iPhone and being able to zoom in on pics help alot too....

here are some pics.Hope this helps.

this is great thanks. Just what I had suspected. the red (+5) wires are left on the back(smaller) connector from the perspective that we are viewing the picture.
