Yea Captain Crook, he was the topper for the slide but since our McDonaldland was indoors the topper was removed to fit. This is one reason I made the building with 16' walls+1

Pro tip: smart home connected switches for your game circuits are a win.
Working in something and being able to flip that circuit on with your voice from across the room via homekit has been a gamechanger.

Ah come on thats just stupid awesome <3Yes, and for bonus points I've set up control of the 4 switches that handle the normal lighting in my basement to "Work Light" mode. So when I come downstairs all I need to say to a ceiling mounted HomePod is "Hey Siri, Turn on the work lights". I've also mapped that to the smart button on my AppleWatch so I can toggle them all on or off at will.
Then I have an "Activate Party Mode" where it shuts off all the normal lights in the basement, turns on all the games, turns on all my backlights and moving lights, and starts playing Journey - "Separate Ways" over the sound system. Absolutely one of my favourite things to do when showing people around the collection is taking them down a dark set of stairs and asking it to "Activate Party Mode" people just loose it. lol
And then for the final party trick, I also have a Streamdeck setup on a computer down there with a "Sleep" button. When pressed, It shuts down in sequence all the game banks, the arcade lighting, any of my main "work lights", and then checks the time of day against sunrise/sunset. If it's dark outside it turns on a light at the top of my stairs so I can see my way out of the basement, before also putting the computer to sleep.

Hey Joe... also look up Grade8 arcade (@TastyBoogerz)... he has some great ideas in his thread about lighting controls too!Thank you for the ideas! I will be looking into all of this.

Awesome so far! Can't wait to see all the progress and the final money shots. The building with its height eerily looks like Luna City Arcade. RIP.
No idea how this will look when its done, but man, it gives Luna City feels (one of my earliest memories of being "wowed" in this hobby way back when) and I'm loving it.
You're on ignore. Sorry. Thanks for skimming the thread.![]()
