Last week I was fortunate enough to trade with @alyles81 for his project paperboy. After a very enjoyable 16 hour drive me and paperboy are home safe and sound, I have started to try to get it working. Thankfully alyles81 left me with almost all of a harness, and after comparing CS and PB I got the board and power supply all wired up.

This Left with the bigger part of the puzzle finding the right monitor. So I headed off to a friend barn and spent most of an afternoon hunting for a medium rez monitor. I found a sharp monitor but it was missing it's adjustment board but I ended up finding a digital wells gardner 19" inch. I got the monitor home and went to slid it in the cab to find someone had bend the mounting bracket, so after a little re bending it pop into place.

At this point I started to check the boards and voltages coming from the power supplies and everything was looking great, but in my looking at other peoples wiring I noticed that I was missing 5 chips from the between the two boards. A pokey chip, 6116 ram chip and 3 eproms. I have found a replacement ram and pokey chip from another board and hopefully @Supergun is going to burn me the 3 missing chips.

My next step will be starting to reassemble the handlebars and wire up a harness for it. I know that Cs control harness is different the paper boy and as long as I'm having to build a CP harness am I best off just building it to have the 2 connectors and skip needing the adapter.

For now here are some photos of the progress so far.

Do anyone have a 3d printer file for the gear that attaches to the potentiometer in the handle bar assbly?

Well Yesterday @Supergun came thru with the missing roms for me and a connect so I could build the last harness I needed. I got back and built the harness popped in the chip plugged it in and .. nothing 😞

so I pulled out my dmm and checked all the test point and have good voltage on both boards but no sound no picture. I do get a hum out of the speaker and the volume knob does chance the volume of the hum. I checked the test switch but still nothing.

I guess my next step will be pulling chips and cleaning them

Make sure you check the sockets too. They seem to be pretty crappy on these boards. I ended up replacing all of them on my Paperboy.

I can't wait to see how it turns out. Keep up the great work!!

While I continue to working to fix the monitor I would figured I should continue to work on the rest of the cab. Yesterday I spend a good while filling in the blemishes and today went and got white paint to prep for are after many coats and sanding I think tomorrow will be art work day.

Back to the monitor till tomorrow

Looking good there mate 👍
I'm just putting mine together, but I'm unsure of the marquee area, if you could help me out?

Is the marquee film sandwiched between two pieces? I presume it'll sag otherwise.
And is the outer piece glass, or perspex ?

Thanks

Thanks, mine is just one sheet of Plex in front of the marquee. @Jaydon might be able to chime in as mine was missing the monitor glass.

From what I remember, the marquee is one piece of plexi with the artwork film attached from the inside. I believe it's called reverse printed. The art side is the sticky layer.

Well I have been working on a little side project for my paperboy I saw a photo of a paper oh with diamond plate it the foot grooves. So while not original I think it really adds a look and helps protect agest people kicking and putting there feet up.
