Building Golden Tee Fore Machine

So it sounds like I need the converter, would that be your assessment?

So I messed with voltage for a while, and I finally got a video to show up on my monitor. Actually before I booted the first time I could here the beginning audio through my speakers and then it stopped.

Afterwards I fixed my voltage and I would get to the screen displaying the revision history and it would say system initializing at the bottom, but would then start resetting in a loop at that point.

Please somewhat help me. I feel like I am so close to completing a successful build of an arcade game in my very first attempt. Just need that final nudge to make it.

My last post on the issue in case someone knows. The box only resets when the box is set for medium resolution. When i set it for standard res i can hear it boots and plays everything.

Problem is none of my TVs handle the standard res signal. Is there anything to fix this or do I just need to purchase the converter?

You don't need an adapter. There is a VGA cable that runs from the 3dfx card to the gt board. Just take it off the GT board and plug your monitor cable directly into it. You may need a gender changer. I believe you also have to change the dip switches on the board to go to hires mode.

I tried the VGA cable, and nothing came up on the computer monitor. Can you explain the dip switches? There is a tiny vga cable going from one board to the other, one male the other female end. I just pluged in the male end into the monitor and nothing. Thankyou in advance for your help.
