Ok everybody. The top ten pinball machines list I did was a huge success, thanks to all you guys who chipped in your votes. It's now ready for my next top ten list to be built, and this one focuses solely on the art of the machine. DO NOT FACTOR how much you enjoy playing a game into this vote. I just want to know your favorite games from a pure art standpoint.

Take into account the backglass/translite, cabinet, playfield, plastics, and the head.

You are allowed to submit UP TO 20 votes. Each vote counts as one point, so you don't need to prioritize or order your votes. Thanks!

Note: If you vote in this thread, please do not vote in the RGP thread or via email. Thanks!

Original top ten poll can be found here: http://www.pinballtopten.com/top-10-pinball-machines-2/

I have to nominate the Twilight Zone for the amount of detail on its translite. As a fan of the original 1959 series I am always finding subtitle references to episodes of the show. There are dozens of props, names, and concepts to always keep me discovering new things.

There's a fantastic guide on IPDB that describes many of them, but watch out for spoilers! http://www.ipdb.org/rulesheets/2684/tz-tie-ins.htm

that's all i got....the above pins, IMO, have pretty cool artwork/etc. i'm not really into cab art/backglass/etc....i'm more of a theme guy when it comes to selecting pins, but i wanted to vote in this one since you did such a good job with the last one.

I will edit this when I think of more, but off the top of my head I gotta say Strikes and Spares. The redhead on the backglass puts it into my top 10 for artwork for sure.

pretty much agree with luther, ill ad 1978 lost world excellent detail

SWEET!!!! somebody agrees with me. ;)

seriously, agreed on lost world....very nice art in all aspects. another pin i should have probably added to my list. 87's escape from lost world is really cool as well.....i really dig the dino/dragon-themed pins.

yeah.....it's still a great looking pin to look at, but i have to agree: the lack of MJF on the backglass/playfield knocks it down a bit. the back glass still kicks a little bit of ass though. :)

(as for your pin-grail, i've never actually played GNR, but it LOOKS awesome......and as far as art integration, it doesn't get much better than that. it has everything related to the band, which is why i included it in my list)

there is one on ebay, was actually in the bands label office, they include a video thats 9mins long awesome! i hope to visit smokinfish soon so i can try it out

i hope you get your pin-grail, bud.....i just recently got mine: star wars.

fwiw, the dude that sold me the star wars had a GNR in his showroom, but he wanted mad cash for it......$5K or something, maybe? anyway, it was waaaaaaaaay overpriced, but then again, i don't know how often these come around (and it was very clean/etc).

again, good luck.....

btw, how the hell are you a bengals fan and in texas? LOL.

it ain't like the bengals are world beaters.....you've gotta be the only one in the lone star state. ;)

what do you guys think about something like cirqus voltaire? there's a helluva lot going on in the way of art, but i'm not sure i'm a big fan....kind of "busy."

What is that one older one called that looks kinda like scarlett johansen with serious booty shorts on the back glass
