I want to start rebuilding and "manufacturing" G07 monitors with rebuilt chassis' and CR-23 tubes. Before I drop the dough on the chassis, I want to find out if it would be safe to build monitor frames out of something like MDF or something similar. Or should I keep searching for used monitor frames?

Wooden monitor frames are fine. The frame, while grounded, is not part of the monitor's ground circuit. The picture tube is grounded to the neckboard through a wire strap along the back of the tube. *That* is required - but a metal frame is not.
