Hi all,
I'm presently finishing off a JAMMA adaptor for a Midway Guided Missile to play it on my supergun. Everything is hooked up and working except the speakers. The Guided Missile had two speaker outputs where different sounds play through each speaker, and I was wondering how I should connect these to the JAMMA setup. I can certainly hook up one or the other speaker to JAMMA, and it works, and thought I could just tie the two speaker lines together to get both speaker outputs combined into one, but when I try this the board does not boot!

Just wondering what others have done in a situation like mine.

Cheers

Phil

Since stereo sound isn't standardized in jamma, you could put it on the jamma harness where it sometimes appears, but a lot of other games with stereo sound will have a second 4pin header on the PCB instead (or 5 pin header, leaving a space in the middle).

So, you may want to put a 4 pin molex plug off of your jamma stereo sound, so you could sometimes tap into it there to reroute when it is off of the PCB.

Also known as "get both".

The header on the PCB is NOT standardized either. Pick your favorite housing and create adapters to it when you have PCBs that don't fit your favorite housing.
