Hi All,
Seeing the lack of the Z80 pods on the market at reasonable prices, made me decide to go and build a pcb for it.
I am attaching the schematic that i come up with. I've done a few changes :
1. The network resistor called U11 on interface board with those different resistor values, i've replaced it with regular resistors. I don't think these can be found easily now.
2. Modified the clock circuit to not use the 4049. And instead a 74HCT04 with an additional resistor.
3. The PROM 2136 can be replaced with EPROM 2716. In the design i've used a 6116 with similar connections.
For the A1-A5 IC i used the ones in the original design. These can be found from existing pods, that are not used. I don't know how these can be replaced. But for a first version these should be good i think.
Note. The IC names starting with 2, it means are from the second board (cpu) on original schematic.
If you would like to take a look and make suggestions or see any problems with existing design that will be awesome.
I plan to print a few pcb out of this design. I guess they ask you for 5 pcs to print at
least.
Thanks a lot
Marian
