There's an Australian company selling brand new Gottlieb system 80 pop bumper driver boards in both kit form (put it together yourself) or fully assembled & tested versions.

Sure looks like a nice board. I like the idea of a kit and putting them together yourself to save money.

Hi Ken, thanks for the mention, this replacement board addresses a lot of the issues that the original board had and best part is it incorporates a test switch on board and has a startup delay that eliminates the 'clunking' solenoids at power up.

We also have replacement audio amp modules for Sys80 games to replace the obsolete (and prone to failure) audio output chip.

We are always looking for new projects so please feel free to suggest a board/s that should be replicated.

Any chance of making a replacement modern CPU board for any of the home model pinballs such as manufactured by Bally, Brunswick, Wonder Wizard/Rapid Pinball?

Yes, we certainly could. We already make the Bally MPU-35 and sell it in kit form and are currently finalising a brand new replacement Zaccaria MPU (first test board is built) - finished boards available in a few weeks.

The issue for us with these home games is (as far as I am aware) that they never made it to Australia - certainly, if they did, it was in insignificant numbers and I have never seen one.

We would need a lot more info to be able to proceed and, from what I know, there is little info available for these machines???? Happy to be corrected if someone has info on them.

The proto Zac board is here for those interested:

These threads will give you some information on the home pinball machines:

There were around 10,000 Bally Fireball home model pinballs made and probably about that many Brunswick "Alive" (a.k.a. Elvis) made.

The manual for Alive has a schematic in it:

I made a switch matrix chart for the Alive machine and it's posted in that thread at arcadecontrols I posted above.

By the way, I wrote most of the repair information on the Bally home models on pinwiki and provided most of the pictures too. There is a big need right now for replacement cpu boards for the Bally home models as the boards are dying and the original cpu chip/game rom are long since obsolete & unobtainable anywhere. New game programming would have to be written.
