I found it for sale on my local craislist for $1800. Good and working condition. I wish I had the funds to buy it but is it worth that much?

Run away! The most I have seen them go for is $900 for a completely restored game.

Sounds right. And, based on that, I would value an unrestored machine in perfect shape at around $1000+.

Opinions will differ, but $1800 is silly.

Really just run away you wouldnt even make the guy an offer on a game you really want?

Not everyone needs to have restored games or that restored games are more valuable. There is value in "nice" original shape.

But thats just my thoughts.

I may get assaulted for this but...

The gameplay isn't nearly worth the $900 let alone the $1800...

Cab is awesome though.

According to that price guide, I got my Tapper for a steal. I paid $450 for it, out of a guy's basement. Machine is all original, no fading except the bud stickers on the handles are a little worn. My CP also is a bit beat up around the front edge. I've never seen one go for $900, and I would have never paid that much for the game. It's an awesome game to me, and it looks cool too, but these games aren't worth that much to me.

I would buy it for under a grand but that would be a low ball offer. The only reason I would want it because it is rare.

Is it that rare? It seems like I see a lot of guys having them in their home arcades.

I'm not sure how rare it is, but it did take me a while to find one. I agree with Friz that the gameplay is not the most exciting, but the cabinet is cool and the drink holders are nice. I think it took me over five years of looking before a fellow KLOV member told me about a local one. I paid less than a third of what the one in this thread is priced at, but my cabinet isn't exactly perfect. The game plays great and that's all that matters to me right now.

While we are on this topic, what would you say a fair price for a Tapper cocktail is? I'm going to look at one tomorrow.
