Ok, I seem to be getting a little done on this thing.... but not running yet. I have worked out every issue I can think of except getting it to to anything after powering it on and displays coming on. Everything looks good, but if I try to coin up ot hit the test switch, nothing happens. After I power it up, the lights turn on and after the 5 seconds it boots up and I get the 0000 on the displays. I used to get the score and credit displays but for some reason now I have no credit and when it goes to high score, it's blank. Oh well, screw the display stuff.... I just want it to coin up and do something. I have reworked every connection, ran all the grounds needed, replaced the battery with a remote and checked all power from the first fuse all the way through A1J1.
HELP ME, OH PLEASE HELP ME.

Just buy a ni-wumpf and a driver/mpu harness and call it a day. You can probably get both for just over $200. Those original system 1 boards are too old at this point to work reliably. And having them fixed cost more time and money then their worth.

Ya, I'm past the slam switch point. It powers up to the point that I would say it is working except it will not coin up or enter the book keeping area. I'm looking into buying a logic probe and seeing what I can find. I am so lost right now... it seams like it's all just melting together.

You might have a PROM problem. It's a socketed chip on the MPU, check the connections. If you have another PROM, even from another sys1 game, swap it in and see if you can start a game.

If it's not that the spider chips on the MPU can cause some weird funky problems.
