I have buck hunter safari monitor that turned green like the green gain/drive was adjusted all the way up. First thing i did was recap the neck and main chassis boards then on a hunch used (with the neck board and power removed) an ohm meter to test for continuity between the heater and green pin on the CRT and continuity. Tested all the other pins including the two focus pins with the heater pins. no continuity except the pin marked "E" earth/ ground, had continuity. Then i proceeded to de solder the green pin from the neck board ( got from another thread) making sure that there was connection between the CRT pin and the neck board. Reinstalled the neck board and energized the monitor. Got a red and blue screen. so that told me that there was no H-K short to green gun. De energized the monitor and discharged the tube. Kill it before it kills you. saftey first. Re moved the neck board re soldered the green pin and re installed the neck board and got a good picture. adjusted to get a better picture. Then halfway through the day without warning, it returned to the green screen. I turned off the game and restarted it and the picture came up good. i am thinking i have a tube that is on it's last leg. any help is appreciated. Enclosing pictures

did you replace the BP/NP caps on the neck pcb?? when you tested the tube how was the emissions?? those tube are notorious bad and low emissions so its very likely your correct the tube is on its last leg.
