Sideart? You mean stencil? Or is this gonna be vinyl?

How about a few suggestions for "future" art repros? Speed buggy side art & CPO, Joust 2 CPO, Do! Run Run (All), Chase H.Q. Side art & CPO, Escape From the Planet of the Robot Monsters (All).

Maybe down the road, i'm only doing work for the machines i'm restoring for now and that's eating up all my time. That being said i do have a joust 2 and EFTPORM. I just remade the front decal for the dedicated monsters.

Very cool. Wish I had a Bubbles. It's one game that has eluded me all these years. Looking forward to seeing pics of the new art on your game...

Getting closer, need to fine-tune some of the line art. Then take cabinet measurements to center the graphics and add registration marks to line it up for stencils.

Artwork is done. Stencils will be available from Rich at thisoldgame.com

I did a quick read of this thread. So are there ONLY stencils available? OR is there some silk-screened or solvent ink-jet 'stickers' that can be applied as well?

Vinyl decals will be available as well, but i need to find the right blue colored vinyl first.

color matching might be problematic not to mention the sheen of the vinyl wouldnt look anything like a painted stencil.
could do a full sized Solvent inkjet print but because of the size would be a little pricey

These should be pretty easy to use. Id rank this stencil as a 2 out of 5
5 being the hardest (MsPac)
ran a set this morning and looks pretty good.

Very nice...if you need to Rich send me the test set..I have two dedicated cabs..I can compare to see if any changes need to be made...

Its the least I can do since I started this project but just couldn't get it done because of other things that have come up...

Kudos for you guys getting this done...

Cool, i'll have to think about what direction i want to go with my cabinet. The problem i'm having is that i built a new cabinet with navy blue formica so i don't know if I can paint stencils on that surface. I went this route hoping to use vinyl because i've had a terrible time with painting and stencils on my Taito cabinets. It may look easy to do, but that's A LOT of little pieces to pull off while the paint is still wet/drying.

On another note, i left the ® off the artwork because it was originally a clear decal put on afterward. Do you think we should just have it as part of the stencil, just cutting through to the original dark blue underneath?

hmm formica, yeah you might be a little more limited there.

as far as the (R) too small to cut and stencil thats why it was a sticker
I can try to print and cut them to include them.

Ill run a couple of color test prints as well to help double check those details.
