Bubble Bobble:Priced to sell on CL

I do love bubble bobble, but that thing is wrecked. Why do people think that just because a machine somewhere sold for $XXXX, their machine (no matter how bad the condition) must be worth big money too?

It's also funny how a destroyed cab will bring down the value of a game. His $125 seems steep in a beaten up cab, but Bubble Bobble PCBs have been selling from this forum for ~$150 lately.

Dude would be much better off parting that thing.

Who's to say it has a dedicated pcb? Maybe it's a Neo-Geo cart in there?

If it is a Neo-Geo cart...price just dropped and it's not worth it anymore just for the pcb...hahahahahaha!!!!

If it was on a Neo cart then it would be inserted into at least a one slot mobo so the price with monitor and cab would still be worth it IMO. Also Bubble Bobble onthe Neo is named "Bust a Move".

That seems like it'd be worth it for the board alone. And you get a decent Joust cab out of the deal, too.

The cab looks like it needs some work, but would be well worth restoring. And working Bubble Bobble boards have been going for crazy money out on EBay for a while now. I've parted a couple of Jousts that were converted to Bubble Bobble and always gotten $150+ for the BB boards. In fact, I have 2 Jousts in my garage right now with BB boards in them. Don't know why Jousts just seem to attract Bubble Bobble boards like parasites......

I was wrong, it's not a Neo-Geo but is in fact the Bubble Bobble pcb in this picture on Crazy Kong:

Cool this is the wife's favorite game of all time, so I just sent her a text to see if she is interested. The price is right, but it is just begging to be put into a different cab while the current one is taken back to all it's Joust glory. Did he send you any more pics or just that 1?

You should get it. Nobody else seems interested in reviving the greatest game of all time.
