Hello all,

My Back to the Future arrived today. Yea! All-in-all it looks great! :)

I do have a few quick questions if I may:

1). Is it possible to get the machine to hold the adjustments that are made? For example, if I select it to use Free Play it does not seem to hold that adjustment after the machine is turned off. As such every time I turn the game on I have to reset the features. Is this correct? I changed the batteries in the backbox PCB, but this did not seem to help.

2). How do you turn the sound up? I did not see this feature in the adjustments, etc.

3). Is it correct that the game hold the locked balls when it switches between players?

4). After the game starts it makes the BTTF jingle, and then keeps making the same sound (not jingle) until the ball is launched. Is this right?

5). Finally, I did not see a ROM version number so that I can check if it is the latest. How can I check that?

Thanks everyone!!!! :)

I hope all is well!

1.) If you changed the batteries and it's not saving settings, the battery holder could have a bad connection. This happened on my BTTF...I resoldered the holder, and it fixed the problem. There are remote battery holders....might be worth installing one of those.

2.) There's a volume pot sticking straight up to the right of the coin box

3.) Yup...I forget if it lets you steal multiballs...it probably does as there's no auto-shooter.

4.) It should start w/ the "tinkley" music as long as the ball's in the shooter lane, and that bursts into the main BttF theme once you launch the ball

5.) Usually the roms have a sticker on them that tells you the #. Sometimes they fall off. Most games tell you the rom version when you power on, or at least when you go into the test mode.

Hello,

I am sorry I was not able to write back until now, yet it has been quite a day...

Thank you for the reply. The game seems to be holding the adjustment changes now, thus that is good. One questions still remains regarding the ROM versions as they are not listed on the ROMs themselves nor in the manual. Yet it seems to make sounds, etc., that I have not heard while using YouTube. I may have to buy the EPROM and just try it out.

Thanks again!
