I wish I had the funds for this. I would buy it in a heartbeat. This is exactly the Pin I want.

I'm almost hoping you're being sarcastic?
If you're not, this pin is a $800 - $1000 pin. The seller is out of his mind asking that much money for that title.
there has been one on c/l locally for almost 2 months for $1,000 in nice shape and fully working. im betting the guy would take 800 cash in an instant.
anyway,2,500 is insane for that pin. it will very likely not sell at anywhere near that price.
Did you ever see the LED conversion kit?? I think it looks great, takes away a bit of nostalgia, but makes the graphics like the lightning/delorean really POP!
i tell ya, i don't think every pin needs to go the way of LED, but i agree.....some pins just POP when you LED 'em up.
i took a little heat (not really...term used very loosely) for keeping the LED's on my new black rose pin, but i love it. and i think once people play it, they'll understand.....those high intensity/high speed flashes just work on that particular pin.
i'd love to see an LED kit on a BTTF.
Yeah I dont think every pin should have them either, but like you said, the high intensity light flashes for the lightning/delorean makes an incredible difference, the regular bulb makes the lightning flashes look kinda funny. Youtube has a video or 2 of the conversion of BTTF.
Unfortunately I didn't know the price was actually too high before I posted this. What I've seen on ebay both recently and in the past has been much higher. Currently I believe there is one for $4000+ in much worse condition. I'm glad I don't have the funds though since the average is closer to the $1300 range.
For me it is the theme way more than game play. I enjoy Pins but am a fanatic about BTTF.
Nice to know this community will help others know what's right and what's wrong when making a purchase though.

BTTF was my first pin...and you BETTER like the theme - cuz there isn't much game there...lol. To be fair, it represents the theme pretty well....the music and light shows are awesome.
But yeah, as for the price...people often say "but it's on Ebay for $4000" ...and I'll say "but did it SELL for $4000?" Listing prices and selling prices tell a different story. I got my BTTF for $300. Granted, it wasn't in the best shape and needed some board repairs...and I saw other beater BTTF's at auctions for $200-400. The hardcore collectors want NOTHING to do w/ this game....so it keeps the prices nice for the casual fan. Like the others said...$800-1000, tops.
I own a BTTF pin. I bought it for $450 but both displays were shot, it needed board work, broken drops/plastics/etc.. Needless to say I knew it wasn't going to cost only $450 to have a playable machine. Should end up costing around $800 when finished but my poor cousin has put countless hours of work into it so I will likely pay him another $100 to be niceOverall, when it's all said and done I think $900 was a good/fair price. These days it seems there are very few non-dmd pinballs that fetch over $1k. Everybody wants the "new" flashy stuff

It's not about new and flashy, it's about gameplay and design. There are a few pre-DMDs that go for over $1000 - Funhouse, Black Knight 2000, Diner....a few others. At the end of the day, BTTF really has nothing to do. Drop targets, lock -repeat x2 - Multiball....repeat.
