Hello,

I read that another BTTF pin. owner had added an LED underneath the flux capacitor thus I thought I would try. Regretfully, I liked it so much I went a little LED wild. :) I was wondering what you all thought?

Actually, a a note, I was not planning on making the lower playfield so blue yet I just happened to have those LEDs so I tried them...

I did all under plastics LED on both of my pins and they look so amazing. I did not use any colored LED's though. I also still use normies for GI.

Looks great. Where did you pick them up from?

Hello!

I buy a lot of my pinball stuff, and all my LEDs, from Terry at Pinball Life (pinballlife.com). Terry is GREAT, is fantastic at support, and gets his stuff out fast. Top notch!

Always...

Pinball life is where I got mine too. Took a quick vid tonight.

Those blues are beautiful. Are you planning on doing the backglass?

Does anyone have any experience with the frosted ones for GI?

Seems like you answered your own question here, and yes the placement of the LED's looks great :) . The backglass is gonna require frosted warm white LED's as the Ablaze LED's Terry has are great for inserts as they have the straight direct beam for a small size area, but the Ablaze 3-LED's well these didn't look good in my backglass as the light was to direct, they dont look good in G.I. either (hurts the eyes a bit), So I was directed to use frosted warm white for backglass and G.I, Well I passed and just put all LED's (Ablaze) under the inserts and left everything else including the backglass incandescents bulbs ( #47). Pop-bumpers and the traffic light have LED's, and one area I put a color changing LED (frosted) in a G.i. location for added color effects. For a for a 24 year old machine ( HS ), I think it looks great. Enjoy your experimenting.

Well, I have a few more white LEDs on the way and will post a picture when I get them in and change the blue lighting in the lower bumpers.

Thanks again all!

Nice vid. Dont want to do too much with the led's, nice balance the machines have.

The Pinbot and BoP look great! I think it looks better in the Pinbot, but both are nice.

Do you feel, in person, that the LEDs under the playfield for the BoP show well?

Really good. The difference is huge. It makes the purple shine and all of them are much quicker when turning on or off. The incandescent ones would fade in and out. They are so much brighter and makes you really notice when you achieve something. In the dark it can be a bit too much, but I like the look so much I enjoy it.

I was not able to use the ablaze flashers in the billionare heart because the bulb lays on its side and the flashers pretty much shoot straight out and not from the sides. It looks better with the incandescent flashers. Not a big problem because the reg flashers are so bright and it is quite a bit of work to get that light lit in the game.

Under non transparent plastics the LEDs are insanely bright and make the pin seem a bit high tech. Love it.
