I posted this in the CL section a few days ago, but the guy still had it as of lunch time yesterday. I called and set a pickup time, then went and got it this morning for $300.

It looked bad in the house where it was stored, but was covered in a layer of grime. It was missing the CPU board. He said he had the CPU board at his shop and will send it to me, but the batteries I found in the coin box are in such bad shape that I don't hold a lot of hope of the board being usable.

It turns out not to be too bad after giving everything a good scrubbing. So far the only problems are the missing CPU board and a plastic piece that was split, then melted up against a bulb.

$300 bucks! Wow, you stole it! Nice score. The cab looks to be in real nice shape. The parts alone are worth far more than that. I just picked one up for north of a $1000.

Nice pickup....I always thought that Judge Dredd was a "bargain priced" pinball. One of the cheaper WPC's, and I always thought it was a decent machine.

Nice score on the cabinet, I have many fond memories of playing this with my buddies in university. I think the machine operator had the high score free reply set really low cause we would be playing this for hours and take turns hoarding cause we would always want to leave but kept winning free games :D

You stole that thing. Judge Dredd has the honor of being in many, many collectors opinion, the best 'bang for the buck' game ever. It's not as fun as some of the more expensive ones, but for a "B" list title, it's widely considered about the best. Read up on the "Deadworld Mod". Basically, the game had this ultracool multiball thing going on for it that was scrapped at the last minute because the company thought that it would cause issues, but they left most of the stuff to make it work in the game! A little bit of modding and you can add it in.

I'm not too crazy about the newer games, but it's going to depend on what the boss says when I get this one and the Doctor who I picked up a few weeks ago running. If she says they stay then we'll keep them, if not then I'll use them as trading material to 'upgrade' to something older.

We'll see what happens in a couple of weeks. Actually, I should have the Doctor Who working next week, but it will be a little longer on the Dredd machine since I've got the buy the CPU board for it.
