Broomall PA auction on Sat.

Have they gotten worse over time? The one last year wasnt too bad?!?

Ive been away for awhile. Please explain.

All the equipment was junk. He said he was bringing
a bunch of machines (classics) that never appeared
at the auction.

Arcade Auction

Well it's a consignment auction as you know and we can only go on what people tell us are coming. Jerry from Arnold s Go-Carts totally fucked us over and pulled games right out of the line Friday evening.
We relay that information of whats supposed to come to be helpful but just can't guarantee it makes it, and also people do buy stuff at the buy it now so if you come late stuff is gone.

There are quite a few pieces that will definitely move early morning tomorrow.

Everyone bitched when there was no good auctions around and now that someone tries to build one up people bitch and complain.

There is always the alternative which is no auction which is where this is eventually going because hes not making any money doing this

So... why didn't you tell people Friday evening? Or maybe apologize on here to people who wasted their time and money to get there? Seriously, that's not how to run a business. You have to expect people to "bitch and complain" if you don't run stuff right.

How are we supposed to know

He pulled them Friday around seven pm and since we were there till 2 am loading in and assembling (the crap) and learning what he really had to offer there wasn't any time to re advertise anything. Plus how are we supposed to know who wants what. I don't know if you came from my list, craigslist, klov, the billboard, the radio spots, the ads at the Phillies game or the Video game convention that was next door. Are we supposed to worry about a half a dozen games that didn't show be for real.
Tell me what game did you specifically come from NY to buy that wasn't there?
A ton of people got some killer deals and made out like bandits, so i'm sorry if you didn't get your "game"
The pinball people were ecstatic with the buys they made as many others.

Wow, get out of the business if your going to defend yourself by throwing others under the bus, threaten to not run an auction again, then go after someone that was reviewing your "POS" auction on a public forum. I can "quote" sarcasm too.

Not my Business

First of all , it's not my business its a hobby to me. I own the Marple Sports Arena where this Auction is being held. Lou is a friend of mine and I try to help him. I don't need to throw any body under the bus Arnold's did that themselves. Arnold s told Lou he had 100 or so nice machines to auction ,walked him through his wonderful facility , offered him the space (so he wouldn't have to transport them far and than loaded in two storage containers of crap. The only good stuff was the stuff the few operators brought with them. My two techs actually got a few of their games working last minute and he wanted to pull them too but Lou stopped him. The few Klovers that come don't spend any money any way, actually scratch that there a few that are real good and they know who they are. The rest are always looking for the freebee cheapie empty cabinet or something.

My point is Lou has watched auctions come and go and now he knows why, too much work, too little support too much complaining not enough reward.

The south is blessed with AGS I go every month and any one who knows me knows I never miss it, nine hours each way. All we wanted was not to have to drive down there.

Regardless we expect 100-200 machines tomorrow and I'm sure there will be plenty of happy buyers as always. It's an auction it's hit or miss and we just loaded in a Family guy Pin, Indiana Jones Pin and a Playboy Pin . The only three games I guarantee are here. One other guarantee I will make is I will win one of those pins and have it in my basement by 8pm Saturday night.

Auction sounds legit when the owner of the facility "guarantees" he will win 1 of the 3 pinball games. Doesn't sound rigged at all. Good luck to anyone going to this. Sounds like a blast. (more sarcasm)

And in conclusion I have more respect for a Klover buying a "cheepie" cabinet and restoring a game to full working then some rich suckwad that will buy it for 2-3x what it actually costs to restore. Shouldn't bad mouth Klov while on Klov. It's like that saying "don't shit where you eat."

Yeah really. It's just poor form.

I wouldn't have gave such a bad review if they just would have said something when everyone was saying how much the last one blew. All it would have taken was a few well placed words, really.

Yep, guess his well placed words are "we are cheap", he is a god for taking money to allow an auction at his place. Last bump he will get on this unless more negative reviews come forward.

What im not alowed to buy a game

Im suposed to just sit back and smile so you can win it cheaper? Your an idiot stay in Iowa
Auction was small but good a lot of deals were had and the operaters moved some equipment which guarentees an October Auction. Yes I won one of the Pinballs and I'll be playing it all night. But I paid for it just like everyone else.

Lou is thankful to all the Klovers who did make the trip and especially the few who we had pick our junk room.

BTW if any one wants to pick our room full of boards, parts and junk to us . I will accept any reasonable offer on the stuff just tomove it.
