Hey guys, I've made a couple of shirts and I currently have a Taitronics shirt available. This is definitely a bronze age theme, but I think it has crossover appeal.

My shirt prior was a Shark Jaws shirt which I thought was pretty cool, but it sold poorly.

Is the interest in Bronze Age vids to niche to sell well shirts-wise? Are there any bronze age themed logos or designs that you think would be cool and sell better than 20 shirts?

I have good buddies telling me to follow trends and screen shirts like Sente or Cave, but I'm not really into those themes to be honest.

Taitronics is a good one for the Space Invaders and Defender enthusiasts since Taito made neater art for both of those cabs than what got issued in the US. I'm not on FB anymore but the WDPU crowd might dig this for Defender cross-over appeal and since Taito seemed to be more widely distributed overseas which is where most of the uber-hard-core Defender fans are.

jimmer .....

Cool. Who dat?

i'm guessing WDPU = Williams Defender Player's Unite

and i only know that from googling it and 1 result came up,
some YT video on a Defender challenge from some lame facebook group.

anyways... some ideas for bronze-aged t-shirts are as follows:

UPL/Sega/Gremlin: DepthCharge (1977), Frogs (1978), Carnival (1980)

Atari: Gotcha (1973), Qwak! (1974), Breakout (1976), Canyon Bomber (1977), Fire Truck (1978), Video Pinball (1978)

Exidy: Death Race (1976), Circus (1977), Robot Bowl (1977), Crash (1979)

Midway: Boot Hill (1977), Space Zap (1980)

Good suggestions here. I would be on board with a Frogs shirt for sure.
BTW I've bought shirts from this guy before and can positively vouch for the artwork and quality. Great stuff.

Time your runs to coincide with Grinkfest and you'll sell out. Set up a pre-order or interest thread a week or two before, leave it open for a couple of weeks after and you'll be good to go.

Of course, you should print up some advance samples and get someone going to Grinkfest to wear them that weekend to up the buzz.

...is one of those uprights for sale? how much!?

Sorry, the extra one is long gone. Went to a collector in Germany, but I'm pretty sure he quit the hobby after he got in over head organizing containers.

I'd love to see a Bandito/Gun Fight/Boot Hill mashup...

Some good suggestions here for sure.

Death race has been done a couple times, but it does seem very popular. TOG has a variation on it: https://www.thisoldgame.com/t-shirts/unisex-deathrace-t-shirt Breakout is an idea, tho I've never been particularly attracted to the Atari art package for it. I'm leaning towards Frogs. I think the logo on the bezel is rad. Also, considering "selling out" and screening non-bronze age arcade shirt since the last couple have not lit the world on fire sales wise.

In the meantime, consider ordering this Taitronics shirt. I've gotten a couple of compliments on it by non-arcade people. I think it looks pretty sweet. Orders only open till the end of next week.
