Broken Solder Pad on Hantarex 25" Polo Flyback. Where to Jump?

In my adventure into repairing 2 25" Polo chassis (both were dead, no HV), I've replaced flybacks and HOTs. On the second chassis though, the flyback looks to have already been tampered with. There were alot of scratches around the solder points, and one solder pad was flat-out missing!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to jump this solder point to, since the pad is gone? I don't want to guess and make any mistakes...

Also, I bought 2 flybacks from Bob Roberts at the same time. One looks to have an extra long leg to reach the top-most point, and the other one's long leg looked soldered into another of the regular pins. Anybody know why that might be? The second pic is of the long-lead flyback. The other one left an open solder point, maybe that's why the monitor still didn't fire up after flyback replacement?

Thanks in advance!

I can't tell - that picture is too blurry. Look at the other chassis and see what this connects to. It may very well be an unused pad - I don't see any traces leading to it, missing or not, but again, it's a bit hard to tell from that photo.

You got it. Useless solder point. I went ahead and tested the chassis out and it worked!!! YAY! Bad thing is that I can now see graphical errors on the board I didn't know were there.... :(

Well, the big question is in the long-lead leg difference I saw in the two flybacks. I'll take a photo of the other one when I take it back off. But see that very top-most pin on the bottom of the flyback? That pin was NOT like that on the other flyback.

So... one monitor fired up after a flyback/HOT repacement, and the other, didn't. I'm wondering if that pin is the difference, or if the other chassis simply has something else wrong with it.

If you haven't replaced the HOT yet on the Polo, you should. There's a link to a really awesome replacement: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...=sGAEpiMZZMutXGli8Ay4kLKwaZeE2jUEb2DAb71MeqA=

Easy swap, and saves lots of headache (so i've heard)

Glad you got one going by repairing the bad components. Has anyone here gotten any bad replacement flybacks? I think I'm going to have to purchase a ring tester.

I had a bad one from Chad at Arcade cup. I had gotten my chassis back from him and I wasn't getting a picture. Called him up and he said that he had gotten a bad shipment of polo flybacks. So I sent it back out and he replaced it with a flyback he said that worked. In the process of shipping it back to me the board cracked and here I am with a KI machine that hasn't been working for almost a year. I gave up on that damn Polo
