I have found a nice looking, but broken Red Barron. The only thing that powers up is the marquee.

It has been in a pole barn in iowa for 25 years. Other than years of dust it looks good. Just a few scratches and a little oxidation on the cp.

However from this same barn I pulled a nightmare of a starwars out that needed the monitor, PS, and the board repaired. I am guessing that I shouldn't expect too much more from this machine.

What is a fair price for such a machine. It is not mint looking but I would say with some cleaning it will look like a 8-9 out of 10.

I won't say what I have offered I would just like to know what you guys think. I want to save it before the spring rain ruins it. The barn is looking worse and worse. It is a matter of time before it becomes worthless.

I think that I paid roughly $150ish for my Red Baron about 5-6 years ago. It was dirty and nonworking, but complete and in good shape.

I just paid $350 plus $150 delivery for a complete, non-working one. I'd buy 2 or 3 more for $150 if I could find them. :)

Does the person know the value of these games or are they just looking to get them out? Also, what did you pay for the SW? Reason I ask is, you can tell them "well I gave you x dollars for the SW but it needs this, these, that, and those still..." Then you can ask if they'll take $50 or $100 for the Red Baron, and remind them that you're still buying parts for the last game you got from them.. Just my .02.

$100 for the Red Baron since it doesn't work. Then sell it to me for $200 and double your money. Red Baron is a niche game and you either like it or don't. Don't pay too much for it. Cockpit, Pay up to $250 and get the heck out of there before he changes his mind.

Have you looked inside the cabinet? I have seen a few games that sat in a barn for years in fact I own 2 and it's about a 50/50 chance that the inside will still be good. If the inside is clean I would say maybe $200-250. If the inside is shot maybe $100.

He is asking 300 for the machine, but man I don't want to have 600-700 into a redbaron.

That is a little on the high end but if it is complete, clean and you want it, it sure beats having one shipped across the states for $250. Tough call.

I am picking it up Friday~!

Hopefully with another cabinet for a multi or mame project.
