Brewer's Arcade - open to the public this Saturday 5/12 from Noon to 5p.m (MD,DC,VA)

So my city and the bordering cities in my county of Maryland are within what is considered the "Gateway Arts District." Basically, these are concentrated areas where many "artists" live and have either a commercial studio or a workspace/studio within their home. A couple of city council members in my city of Mt. Rainier, Md. asked if I would be interested in participating in the event and be willing to open up my arcade to the public for a few hours. So long story short, here's an open invitation to come by and play my games for a few hours if you are in the area.

The open house is from 12-5p.m. and below is a link to download the map of open studios including mine which contains my address. Most of the other studios are the more traditional artist workspaces (painting, sculpture, etc.) so if you are into that kinda thing then you'll want to check out the many artists studios in the area.

My wife and I have plans for the evening so unforunately the arcade will be shutting down at 5p.m. No afterparty here! :)

Here's the info ---> http://www.gatewayopenstudios.org/

and here's a link to a youtube video of my arcade to give you an idea

feel free to come by and play a few games on Saturday!

Might do this if I can make it up there before the party in NOVA later that day.

This sound awesome. A huge part of the appeal of arcades for me is all of the cool artwork that they made BITD. It's neat that your fusing modern and past art together in this way. Too bad I'm on the wrong coast or I'd be there for sure. Best of luck with your new venture, thanks for helping to save the arcade industry.

Sounds like fun... I wish I could make it!

I sincerely appreciate that man. I'm glad someone gets what I'm trying to do :)

I hope to see a few of you guys there! Maybe someone can help me fix the two bad displays on my newly aquired Eight Ball Deluxe pinball!

I'll also have a few medium and large "Brewer's Arcade" shirts available for purchase during the open house for $10.
