Braze Asteroids Multigame - Lunar Lander

I am planning to use a regular Asteroids board in my Asteroids Deluxe with an adaptor board. Not sure about modifying the CP. Might just use a second CP setup with a thruster when I want a more authentic Lunar Lander.... Provided I can get a controller and use it with the final kit....

multiasteroids/lunar lander artwork/cp interest?

With this kit coming out, anybody planning to build a custom control panel for thier asteroids cab? Like installing a Thruster Controller, to play Lunar Lander the correct way.

I might be planning a purchase of a asteroids cab just to be able to get this kit.

Have you seen this thread

I just relocated my Asteroids from the garage to the game room to get ready for this kit.
I don't know when the release date is yet but I have a feeling it wont be as long as it has been.:D

I have an AD cabaret so my plans are to keep the CP the same and use an Asteroids boardset with an AD wiring adapter. Although it would be nice to have a thruster, I don't see it ever fitting in any type of cool way on the cabaret CP.

...and unfortunately us AD guys have to wait even longer as the Asteroids kit comes first. Are the pinout the same so could I just swap in an Asteroids boardset with a kit installed as you suggested or are there some pins that need to be moved?

:(

You need an adaptor to put an asteroids board in a deluxe cabinet. I would have waited for the AD kit, but with the Asteroids board you will get the correct sounds for both Asteroids games, so I decided to go that route. I picked up the regular board. Now I just need a kit and an adaptor board.

Scott Brasington and I spoke about this point a couple of months ago. He said the Asteroids board kits will be the first out of the gate and the most accurate for both games (sounds). It sounded like he was thinking of releasing the Asteroids (A) to Asteroids Deluxe (AD) adapter at the same time since lots of AD folks will be putting A boards in their AD cabinets. Hopefully, he will speak-up about this point. If he doesn't release one, I'll just build it myself, since there aren't a lot of pinout changes between A and AD.

He has a how-to on his site for the pin-out changes.

If he sells a more sophisticated adaptor, that also makes some of the signal level changes, I would buy one! :)
