I've got a SMS brand new in the box. The system came from Canada, I got it off of eBay 7-8 years ago. I bought it when I was trying to be a completist but have never played it except to turn it on when I got it to make sure it was functional.

Its in the original box, all instructions and packing materials are included. I have a few SMS games like Sonic the Hedgehog and a few others. Any value to this system here? What would you guys think it would be worth?

Dude, sell it to me. Please? :D :D

Seriously? NIB?

WTF...I don't even know.

Gamegavel.com should be able to get you an idea on price. Hundreds, probably. A hundred, probably.

EDIT: I've seen pics.

$100 on the high end of a CIB Master System. In my experience, there is little difference in the value of Canadian vs US versions of things, so I doubt any real value increase just because it might have French language on the box.

If anything I would think it would decrease in value because of not being a US system.

I pulled the system a day or so ago. Unfortunately it has no manuals but the system is brand new. Joysticks, console and the gun still have the protective shrink wrap on them.

Pics of the system.

It's not "new" though bu any means. It was taken out of the box, it was turned on, you say now it does not have the manuals or anything... It's used with the box and the box is beat up.

It's worth maybe $100 at the most. Factory sealed and complete it'd be a lot more.

Agreed, I kept all my boxes, manuals and plastics for my Super NES & NES. I kept the systems in mint condition. 13 years later I sold them and the pictures taken when listing looked like it was a NEW boxed system, but couldn't sell them like that.

NEW IS NEW, this is used.

Good point, guess its not brand new. In my mind it is because it was pulled out, powered on and then put back in the box. Its worth mentioning that there is no seal on this system so anyone could have taken it out of the box, used it and still called it new.

Moot point anyways, without it being complete its just a really nice "used" system anyways. Back in the closet she goes :)
