Looking at a dracula, game looks cool. Did some research and saw the MIST should be working otherwise it would be a pain in the butt to fix. Here is the reply I received when I inquired about it.

It plays with Left Magnet and Right Magnet errors, game will need a new Mist motor $65, main board has had previous work done to it, mainly J connectors and bridges replaced, if you replaced the Mist motor the game would play correct without any errors when you power up the game.

The overall condition is fair, there are bumps and bruises on the upper head both sides, the Red's on the artwork decals are faded, very typical for this title, the playfield is way above average.

If you have the skill set to redo cabinet art and tear down your own games then I would say this is an excellent title and must have for any collection

They are asking $1295 for it.. I think its a lil on the high side from what I have been reading no?

sounds like a decent price to me...if it was here at that price it would be gone in hours

Ditto.

In my neck of the woods, a flipper would quickly snatch it up at that price and have it listed on CL the next day for a hell of a lot more.

Even with the broken MIST motor? There were some posts on KLOV from 2010 where a guy strongly advised someone else to walk away if the mist motor was non functional..

I am going to check it out today, will let ya know how legit it is.

True -- but it's broken.. boots to errors so would need to be a repair.. it's be listed locally for about 5-6 days now.

I bought a new motor at radio shack for 6 bucks, rmoved the pinion gear and thrw it on the new motor with some locktite and was good to go.
Often times the jackshaft binds in the end bearings, the left and right errors could be the switches not being triggered.
Id say for 1295 its worth a look, and if the assembly is all there then go for it. Marco sells the whole gearbox for like $75 i think.

As long as the playfield is not worn to wood Id buy another at that price.

When I got my Dracula, I read all of the posts about the Mist Problems that people said they were having, and was kind of worried. Mine was a project game that was missing all of the Boards (CPU, Sound, Power/Driver, and Mist Opto), so I really did not know what to expect when I got it running. Once I got it running, I bought a replacement motor and gearbox in mine from Marco (my gears were all munched) and a replacement board from HomePin and have never had any problems with the MIST since. For $1295, I don't think it is that bad of a deal. I would take a look at it if I was you.

I had a BSD and sold it. Wish I had kept it. Great game.

I'm seriously considering selling a couple of my vids to get BSD back in the game room.

Well - Unfortunately I missed out on this one. Went to go check it out and someone had already come in and put a deposit on it who was driving 5 hrs to get it. I knew once I heard that it was gone.

Oh well, sad, but I feel like I graduated from n00b status with this one. didn't buy for the sake of a buy and get stuck with something that wasnt playable and annoyed me because it's a pain to fix and sat in my garage.
