I am freshening up the Power board in an Eight Ball Deluxe.
The schematics list BR1 and BR2 as E-00602-0006, Bridge Rectifier.
The actual parts are 1inch square aluminum and say TAIWAN AC 8103 and 8437.

At Great Plains I found what they indicated were Bally BR's so I bought a couple.
They are about 5/8inch square and a ceramic or composite material. P#MB108, 800V, 10A

Can anyone tell me if this is truly what the replacement item is on these Bally boards?
Or direct me to where I can order the same original type of BR that is in the board?

Thank you.

It depends if you want to mount them in the original configuration or on top of the board with heat sinks. If you're going to use the 10A bridges and mount them in the original configuration you'll need to replace all 3 so they fit properly. If you're going to use the 35A bridges and mount them on top of the board with heat sinks you don't necessarily need to replace all 3.

In any case, you can use either one. The originals were 8A (IIRC). Anything rated higher than that will work.

Yep, the OP bought bridges for the older style Bally rectifier boards (a la Power Play, Freedom, Mata Hari, etc).

ahhh, yeah you're right (Ken too). I wouldn't use those for switched illumination. I was thinking of Eight Ball (not deluxe).

FWIW, with that rectifier board, unless something is open or shorted I wouldn't mess with it. Not necessary.

Thank you.

I guess I'll leave the existing ones alone for now until it acts up.

This was a home use machine for 20+ years and the people just left it on day after day.
I've had to replace so many parts along the way that I've taken the "clean sweep"approach in dealing with the boards in this particular machine.
