A couple of times a year I buy so much stuff (small stuff) that I forget what I bought and if I recieved it. Then I have to go back through emails and track down the status of what I ordered.

Is this a common problem with internet\ebay\forum shopping?

It is for me. just last week I went through and sent emails for parts I haven't received yet. Of course, I just yesterday I found two more...

That is pretty funny. No, I personally don't make it a habit of buying things I am not anxiously waiting to receive. I bought 5 different N64 games I was on the hunt for at one time and even that wasn't too hard to keep track of. I couldn't wait to get Conkers Bad Fur Day and Banjo Tooie so I was tracking those babies as they came in.

Yes. Got a package the other day and could not remember what I had ordered (was a couple MCR boards). I made a list of what I ordered, when I ordered it, and how much I paid. Checking them off as they come in, some at work, some at home, and not panicking unless I haven't seen a high dollar item come in in a reasonable amount of time. So far so good.

were these the Midway PS boards i sent? i was going to PM you to make sure they made it there ok. i usually try to follow up on when i send something if i don't hear back from the buyer...

Yeah, I just haven't gotten around to leaving feedback yet. Neither worked, but I bought them knowing they were untested. I should be able to get one of them working with parts from another board.

I used to have a lot of trouble with forgetting stuff. Now I have a couple of folders in my email inbox: bought, sold, received and sent. As I buy things I move the emails (purchase info & PayPal receipts and any delivery notifications) into the bought folder. When the items come in I move all that stuff into the received box.

When I sell stuff, I do the same thing. That really helps. It's not perfect, but it's better than what I had before (nothing).

I haven't had this problem recently but about 3 months ago I was getting a steady flow of packages delivered daily. Some of the parts I had forgotten about so it was like getting an unexpected present in the mail. *opens package* " Hey it's such and such board, I've been wanting one of these! AWESOME!"

I never had that problem, but I had it the opposite way. I was selling some stuff on ebay, and if I got more than about 10 auctions going, it got too confusing...I don't know how these people have hundreds or thousands of items going and not get them mixed up. Of course, this was before paypal and auto checkout, so I had to wait until their checks came in (and cleared if they were personal) before I shipped them.
