Bought Resident Evil for Gamecube

I would love to buy all those longbox games off of you. Just shoot me a PM if you want to sell them. :)

They bought the black boxes off of Sega? My Sega CD and Saturn games are just giant jewel cases - I think Sony had those made, ribbed - for your pleasure.

Edit: I didn't remember some had giant jewels like the sega games.
I think those are the only ones I have left and plan to keep them :)

I think what he's saying is that they bought the big jewel cases from Sega - like my MK3 is in. I have no idea if that's true or not, but wouldn't surprise me too much I guess.

It wasn't very long before they started using those custom plastic cases. I'm pretty sure MK3 was the only game I ever had in one those as it was the game I bought along with the system.

Here's a little unrelated question - Did any of you guys get the Playstation Undgerground discs? - they were awesome, they had interviews with PS execs, and developers - game demos and all kinds of stuff. Man, the playstation was cool when it came out, they had such a good thing going. I also loved PSM, I started at issue 2 - with the Castlevania cover. Sony had to take the Playstation all corporate with the PS2, kind of ruined that good gamer flavor they had going on. Sooo much good, original, and new content came out on the PSX. I miss that time.
Yeah, I got those too. I think I still have all the ones I got, though they're scattered all over in storage :p PSM was a goo dmagazine. I have the first few years I think. I'm probably going to be passing those on soon as I need to clean up my old magazine collection...the wife hates them all except for Nintendo Power :p

Well, keep me in your thoughts on the PSM mag lot - I will buy them. I subscribed for like 4 years, but I was a heavy bathroom reader as a kid, poop and peruse, so they got all jacked up, you know run out of the charmin and you gotta use somethin. lol JK - but half of them got tossed some got saved. You know. I do still have my issue #2 in plastic somewhere.

Metahugh should seriously sell me those longbox PSX games though. I want those in my bookcase.

Will do. I only had it for a few years which is why I'll probably be dropping it from my collection, even though I don't want to :( I imagine most of mine are in reasonably decent condition considering their age. I'll take a look this week and let you know exactly what I have.

Thanks SuperMatt - I know the PSM's aren't as cool and collectible like the Nintendo Powers but man, I was sooo into the Playstation for a few years when I was a teen - They'll definitely be going to a good home.

I just looked on Youtube and saw that people have posted a bunch of the Playstation Underground videos and previews etc. Pretty awesome stuff - You should check out the Kaz Harai interview - I don't know what it is but Playstation had it going on back then. They were doing so many cool things with games, now when i think PS3, I just think of Sony's corporate facade.

You guys ever play Incredible Crisis?

Metahugh - Let's talk longbox sales.

Its going to be touch prying me from my console stuff :) This thread got me thinking I need to display my games instead of leaving them in boxes. I bought another bookcase last night and I am uncovering a bunch of games I forgot I had. Pics to follow in another thread :)

I don't want all your stuff.. just your longbox games.

Resident Evil 2 is BY FAR my favorite of the series. RE was amazing when it came out, I had a friend who bought it pretty quickly after release - the PS longbox, that is now long lost. There was nothing like it, then RE2 came and it had multiple story lines, I've played through RE2 at least 4 times with both characters. I have the Leon disc around here somewhere, I'm going to re-buy that game today. RE2 was also my first pre-order, got it Babbage's, don't know if you guys had any of those stores, but it came with a free Capcom RE2 T-shirt that I still have today. lol I also had all the RE figures and 2 tyrants, which I couldn't keep in the package.

Nemesis was good
Code Veronica was weird - meh -
RE 4 didn't even really feel like RE to me at first. It was fun though.
Haven't played 5.

RE 2 was awesome. The only one I've beat actually. My brother beat the first one,so it was on to RE 2. RE 3 was alright although I never beat it. I haven't played an RE game since. I need to go back and finish the original Silent Hill. Man that game was crazy.

RESIDENT EEEEEEEVVIIIILLLL - Yeah RE 2 is a prime example of a publisher doing everything correctly for a sequel - they built on the characters, they added awesome guns, tons of zombie blatting, good scenery, great ending - I bet they had a hell of a time trying to make Nemesis stand up to it.
