Saw this pop up on the local craigslist and couldn't refuse. The seller said it was working until the kids were playing with it and broke off a couple of the pots. I am still very new to the arcade hobby so I hope it is any easy fix. You can see in one of the pictures below that the brightness and H Cent is missing the pots. I do have the pots that were broken off. Will be looking for some advice in the future.

Looking a bit closer, I can see that the adjustment pots on the game pcb stack have also been folded back. I can't tell if they're broken, but they'll need to be replaced to be reliable as well.

I can fix that monitor chassis for you, if you're willing to pull the monitor out and ship me the boards. Have you done any monitor work before?

Too bad that when they were "just playing" with it that they did not "play" with the suction cup on the tube, might have taught them a much needed lesson about high voltage.

I wasn't sure if I should plug it in with the missing pots. I just came home for lunch and gave the old boy some power. Sadly, no image.

Smalltownguy2: No, I have not done any monitor work. I will probably take you up on that offer.

Got to run back to work. Will play with it some more tonight if I don't get back too late.

Congratz on that awesome score! I've not run across a DK cocktail yet that wasn't a) working and b) as a result over $400...

Nice! And welcome to the addiction!

I got mine working for $100; it's a solid machine when you get her working....
