Saw this ad on local CL for a cocktail "Zun Zun Block" game. Asked him last week if it was a B+W game, as I was still looking for a replacement chassis for my Space Invaders. He said yup. I show up today and of course it was a 13" color. I told him, well its really nice, but I'll have to pass. He was asking $70 which I didn't think was unreasonable, just not what I wanted.

He then said, "well, take it for $60?"
I replied, "Sorry even if you offered it for $40, I'd have to pass"
"How about $20?", he says.
"Let me get my wallet."

So anyways now I have my newest addition and first cocktail. Basically a break-out clone with a twist. Most everything is written in japanese on the art. Cool, right?

So I go to ask why he's selling it. He tells me his mother just died and he needed to sell her things to pay for things. Kind of felt like a low-life at that point for only giving him $20. But hey, it was his offer.

Cab is very mint, sitting in his mom's garage for like 20 years. Even the lights on the buttons work. Spinners are ancient but are smooth. Glass had very light wear. Monitor has no screen burn and great picture.

Pretty cool. Just thought I'd share a CL success haul.

Hopefully mom was OK with the sale, or you might be listing it on CL as a haunted game! :D

Nice score for $20!

Pretty nice score... The monitor alone is worth that. :) Look at all of the great information on the Flyers.

Wow, sweet pickup! Looks like Super Breakout, what's the gameplay like?

Unrelated note, I dig the art of the upright.

Remember that haunted Ms Pacman? heh heh
If you suddenly get a waft of cheap perfume or ben gay run for it

So, what's the button for?

Haven't played Breakout in awhile, but it didn't use one, did it?

Gameplay is just like Break-out. However, every third paddle hit drops the brick level closer to the player and increases the ball speed. After the sixth paddle hit, a windmill object will begin hovering across the screen. If you hit the object, the brick level and ball speed goes back to normal.
I plan on updating some info on the KLOV description, but figure it'll fall on deaf ears as with my other updates I gave them.

You cheap bastard!:D I would have gave him an extra $20.00 because he worked to make the deal happen and the story behind it..but thats just me...I know most klovers ain't spending one dollar more than they have too..which is why I basically never post games for sale on this site..

Yeah, it was a serve button...

I'm just interested to see what hardware that was made with... it's got the standard taito font, so I'd be expecting 8080, but coming out with a breakout type game 2 years after breakout seems a little odd.

here's the picture for all you board guys:
