Bought for the Cab - discovered decent game months later
I bought a jamma cab awhile back to use for my phoenix arcade pcb and for my multiwilliams jrok board. The game that came with it was of no consequence to me but rather condition and price of the cab was all that mattered....
Fast forward 8 months and I decide to plug in the jamma board that came with the game to see if it was any good. Now I am mostly an early 80's classics guy so jamma games are not high on my list....frankly I had little hopes for this game but after playing around for 10 mins, I was hooked....
The graphics are ok but the gameplay is rather addictive....Its a 2 player game that is fine by yourself but will also shine when playing with a friend.
It was quite a nice discovery finding a decent game with the cab. Might have to wire up my 2 in 1 jamma switcher that I bought last year....
Oh and the game, Super Buster Bros.....I had never heard of it before and had to google it to find out information on it. Spent 15 minutes searching for the dip switch settings before I decided to look at the board and see no visible dip switches....Like I said, I am early 80's guy, these jamma boards are new to me....anyway, the test switch worked and the settings were easy to adjust...
I did notice that the battery was still there but it appears that a new z80 and some soldering will bring the board back....might have to check that out if I continue to enjoy the game....
Anyone else get a pleasant discovery like this?
