Bought for $250 and now selling for $2,495? Hope not!

Isn't this how a retail business stays open? Buy low sell high.

What would you do? Buy it for $250 sell it for $251? Get over it.

If you can make a profit...why not? Some things I pay little to nothing for and sell for a few hundred after a little cleaning and work on my part. Its buisness.

Also this guy is known for high prices.

Frizz, post your favorite picture!!!

Hey GRK, your linked image is broken...

Good ole RLEVIN again. He'll sit on that for a long time just like he does many other machines. But as a wise man once told me, "If you can afford to sit on it and aren't in a rush you'll get your asking price."

I think Dale could use some listing technique lessons.
If you're going to list a game claiming this is the most collected game AND ask a MINT condition price for a non MINT game you better have the machine as clean as you can and know your shit and point out certain things.
Take picture of the bare tube - if it's fairly burned you're asking too much anyway
Lising the type of monitor - Amplifones typically bring ~$200 more
One picture appears to show white/silver paint on the top left side.
The marquee has the typical age crack on the bottom - but it's still not acceptable at this price.
Reconditioned - fixed - what ever you want to call it Dale you'd fare better if you actually got into the nitty gritty adding as much detail as to what was done to this machine. I've rebuilt 3 different yokes, that alone gets damn expensive.
These machines have common failure points.
I'll assume this has a K61XX series - have you buller proofed it? (full rebuild kit with an LV2000 or the likes)
Speaking of monitor have you actually set the B+??
Rebuilt the ARII or replaced Big Blue?
Have you replaced the 4 rubber bumpers on the yoke?
The 14 tooth gear should also be replaced.

I don't know but he mentioned here getting one working for $250

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=104873

Now he has one on ebay for $2,495

What are the odds it's the same one?

I got my last cockpit for 250.00 and sold it yesterday for 4200.00 to a guy in San Fran. What would you have sold this for? If I can get 1800.00 or so for it why not? I just do not understand why in the hell do you care if it is a million dollars if you have no plans of buying it. You are just trolling and you know it. Try to keep things postive

He's gotta pay for overhead of that huge storage facility somehow not to mention utilitys.

Plus labor, insurance & taxes and everything else that it takes to operate a RETAIL entity. Why don't people understand that??!!! He's not counting on business from the few of us in this hobby- he's selling to the general public. Let him be.

It's not what he paid that counts it's what someone is willing to pay him. When one of us sells a game we never hear about it again. If Dale sells a game and a month later it shits the bed someone is looking for him to make it right whether they live down the street or on the opposite coast. If someone is willing to pay through the nose for one then more power to him. If he sells it for close to that price I need to stockpile them like liquor before the prom.

Hey Dale, I'm just busting your chops. I have nothing against you. Heck! I don't even know you. If you can flip them for that kind of cash more power to you. I totally understand that you have a business and that's what it takes to keep it running successfully.

If you haven't figured it out yet I'm the one who bought Jon's SW cockpit. On a side note I'm a little surprised you didn't offer more considering the amount you apparently can get for them. I'm actually glad you didn't since $2,800 was the most I was going to pay since I had to add another $460 for shipping.

Anyway, hope you get whatever you can for your upright.
