I bought a Die Hard Arcade game that was a conversion from Funky Headed Boxers. Dedicated ST-V cab. No picture. The guy I bought it from said the game worked fine for a long time. Then after they beat Die Hard to death, they went to put the Funky Head Boxers cart in and no picture. Then they put in Die Hard agian and still no picture.

The power supply is good as the power LED and the marquee light up but I have no picture. The marquee light power is connected to the monitor power as seen in the picture below.

When the machine turns on, the monitor has static (to the touch, not like snow on a TV) on the screen but no picture.

Wells Gardner 25k2193 monitor I believe.

I have tried unplugging the power input on the monitor and plugging it back in to see if it had come loose...no dice. I replugged the video input...no dice. Replugged jamma edge connector...no dice.

Any suggestions???

Is a U2000 chasis and a U5000 chasis interchangeable???

Yes. Just be sure to hook up everything, including the remote board, or you may fry the U5000. Also, be sure the U5000 is set up for CGA (standard resolution). If this isn't done you will not hurt anything, your picture just will not sync.

Fixed it!!! The person that sold it to me said that they had just switched the carts but they had also switched the plug that goes into one of the other slots. I was reading teh manual and it said the game won't work without this slot being plugged. I moved the plug to the slot in the picture and badda bing badda boom. I have a perfectly working monitor and game again. Hooray!!!

for STV Die Hard arcade is my favorite game. Radiant Silver gun is superb also but i'm less of a shooter fan.

Baku Baku animal is a great puzzle game also.

Looks like I've run into a problem with the same monitor. What is the most common problem with this model? Never had any problems with the cab and I've been running an Atomiswave in it since I got it from NERDtendo.

I've been away from home for about six weeks and when I tried to fire it up, I got no picture at all. Everything else is working fine but I don't get the "static" when I power up. After pulling the monitor and chassis, I notice the neck doesn't glow after I power up either. Acts like there's no power to the monitor at all.

Anyone have a clue? Flyback transformer maybe?
