Bored, rearanged gameroom getting ready for new game

Well thank goodness it is raining here in NH. Wouldn't want it to dry out or anything :D.

I have to pick up a game from a fellow collector on Saturday and I needed to make room for it badly. Brian (wickedbass) sent me a layout a while back on how I should do my game room for maximum games. So I deconstructed my wall length bench and moved some games around. Now it isn't as big as some of your game rooms but it is my little slice of heaven. Thinking of having a game day in August for the local guys that want to make the trip to NH. Anyway here is a short clip of the room.

Dude, you have an awesome gameroom! I really like the brick, it just adds so much. Aside from the awesome games, I'm curious about a few things. How much does an old Coke machine like that run? Love it by the way. Also, is the Coke clock an oldy or is it a repro? That looks great, too. Carpet looks great. And how did you attach the flashing neon tubes to your ceiling? I'm guessing those are somewhat fragile, right? Where did you get those? Are they tied in together or does each one have its own power cord?

Cool looking gameroom. I like the brick as well. You have things arranged nicely for a what seems to be a small space.

Believe it or not that old coke beast runs like a top and doesn't cost much to run. Less than a regular fridge. But it is small only has 5 slots and holds about 7.5 cases of tonic in it so that helps with the efficiency. The Coke clock is vintage. I picked it up from a super auction back in March for $80.

The Neon is actually EL lights. http://www.coolneon.com/ I have it running on an outdoor sequencer with 3 20 foot strands. I need to get more for the room and do something more interesting with it. Wicked easy to work with and you can get pre-made kits that are plug and play.

Here is the game layout Brian (wickedbass) did for me a while back. Your right it is a small space (all the wife will allow me) http://www.floorplanner.com//projects/18508124/floors/18531969/designs/19841293?guest_pass=c4lsd4

What's the cards on the wall? High scores?

Steve

Yep that's what they are. Back in the old days when I worked at Dream Machine we had plastic 4x6 high score cards that we put the highest score on and the date. If your name was on the score card you would get a free tokens each week until your score was beat.

Just curious.... what are your thoughts on that Zizzle pinball? Does it actually get played around there or is it more for the LED looks? I had thought about grabbing one for $75 but wasn't sure if I would be too pampered by my current pin and consider the zizzle thing as "trash".

Great setup. You guys with this kind of space make me so envious. Maybe I should ditch the car in my garage and expand.

For what it is the Zizzle is a pretty neat little machine. I expected what we had in the '70s and '80s for home pinballs but this is light years ahead of those. Gameplay is very much like the big brothers but there are some problems. Price, bought mine new for my son for Christmas and for $300 it really pushes the limit at being overpriced. The playfield looks like a large cheap sticker and problably won't last with heavy gameplay. No leg levelers, unless your floor is perfectly level (mine isn't) gameplay has some warp factor to it. The playfield glass isn't removable and it is plastic so no waxing it up to increase the action. But with all its faults it is still fun to play and the kids do enjoy it. And seeing as I can't seem to find anymore mint working KISS pinballs under $200.00 I guess it will do.

Hmmm, good to know. I've read the reviews on IPDB and they all seem to point the same things out.

What is the coctail game. Looks like a color vector. Space Duel maybe.

Pirates of the Caribbean Zizzle pinball, Dixie Narco Coke machine, Special Criminal Investigations by Tatio, Out Run by Sega, Pole Position II by Atari, Space Invaders Deluxe by Midway, Star Castle by Cinematronics, Elevator Action by Tatio, Bosconian by Midway, Asteroids by Atari, Smash TV by Williams, Punch-Out!! by Nintendo, Super Mario Bros. by Nintendo, Coke multigame by some cheap hack named Scott (oh wait that is me:D) and the wonderful Rowe BC-25 Change Machine set on free vend. All games are on tokens.

Cool another NH arcade junkie. I thought I was the only one. Anyways, awsome selection of games, I bet with this crappy summer we are having they are getting alot of playing time!
