got really bored and the sheild has rust on it. looks alright. haha

I know what I'm doing when I eventually take apart my six slot board to do a battery replacement and sound repair! Did you get the paint color matched to the cab? If so, care to share color codes/brand?

I was actually thinking of doing this, first with a coat of primer and then white paint. Then put some painter tape over the white coat diagonally to match the white stripes on the cpo. Paint red, remove tape. Someday...

it is engine enamel paint i bought at my local ollies. belive it or not it actually is spot on to the color of my cabinet.

Nice work sir. I did something similar with a CPS3 case using a flat black. I am trying not to get in the habit of painting things in non-original ways, but damn if it does not look better.

when i saw rust when i took it out it was my only option. i am not that particular about these things like some people on here and try to make it as original as possible. I figure put some life under the control panal when you pop it open and eliminated future rust or corrosion.

Anyone know if reproduction shields are available anywhere, or if someone has the ability to make them? I'm missing mine for my two slot, and would love to have one.
