Is there such thing as a bootleg MKII board? I'm trying to set up a JAMMA switcher in my SFII Dynamo cab, and I'd like MKII, but the multiple boards and cables is a little bit inconvenient for that setup.

That got me thinking about the bootlegs, since a lot of times they compact things into fewer boards... not that I'd necessarily want one, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a bootleg MKII. I'm sure it was popular enough, but maybe they did a good job making it hard to copy. Or, maybe I just haven't seen one. Anyone know?

but the MK2 button layout is completely different from sf2
Completely different? There's 1 less punch and kick, and there's a block button. I mean... of course I'm not going for perfection here, but there are some times when I'd like to play Mortal Kombat (2 is my favorite), but I don't like it enough for a dedicated cab. And I think Mortal Kombat will play better in a SFII cab than SFII in a MK cab. :p

It's not like people with MAME cabs have a 6 button layout for SFII, and a 5 button layout next to it for MK. ;)

You just have to re-train yourself on the button layout, it's not that difficult...lol. If you PC game, then you can learn pretty much any button layout quickly.
Well... I pretty much suck at all fighting games, so different button placement can only help, since it might affect whoever I'm playing against, if they're any good. ;)

But anyway... this thread is about bootleg MKII boards. Do they exist, or did Midway dodge that bullet?

Don't think so but i wouldn't be surprised. I've never seen one personally and i've had a good share of MK boards go through my hands.
