Ok this is my first Bondo project and I have a few questions?

What is the proper ratio for mixing to get a could mix.

How long do I have to play with it?

What is the best way to apply bondo to rounded corners that are broken off?

What is the best router bit for both the straight edge and the rounded corners?

There is a few to start off with!!

Thanks for the help in Advance

If it helps at all. I just used Bondo for the first time this past weekend on my project. I found it very easy to work with having been intimidated going into it. I used about 5-6 parts bondo to 1 part hardening agent. I used a wide blade and a thin blade and kept both separate, clean and out of contact from any other surface. I used a piece of nice large cardboard in one hand to stage my substances. I had what seemed liked plenty of time to shape and apply it. I would apply it in a downward direction and then I used a razor blade to shape it upwards and over.

Depending on outside temperature, 20-40 minutes to come back and sand.

Once I worked on a few spots, I really got the hang of it. Throughout the process I kept thinking how awesome you guys on KLOV are for the advice on it and previous comprehensive examples that have been posted. I wouldn't have been able to even do my hack job without the group here. Personally, I'm really digging putting into practice what I learn on here. It feels good to take the risk and just try it.

Sooner or later I probably will be advance from "hack-level" with Bondo.

If you get the Bondo brand plastic spreaders, they are tinted to match the correct ratio of hardner to Bondo. Add a little hardner, mix and check it against the spreader, then you can add more of either Bondo or hardner to get an even match.

Consider the spreaders training wheels of sorts, once you know what it's supposed to look like, you can graduate to scraps of cardboard, etc. I also like to use sturdy paper plates for Bondo, the coated versions are the best.
