I have to say that this is one of those games that looks dull until you know the rules, like Mr. Do! and Bubble Bobble.

I have been playing this lately and and find it quite entertaining, really deep rules.

One of the first cocktail tables I owned. Mine was made from a Scramble.

Excellent design and gameplay. Finding ways to maximize your score is really the main point of Bomb Jack.

BombJack is I guess you could call one of my Grails . I love that game !! Its a conversion though , no dedicated cab , so its hard to find the art and PCB .

I love my Bomb Jack pcb (even though I play it in my Time Pilot cabinet. :( )

My high score is 900,000+
I really want to break a million. :D

It's a great platform game. It's all about figuring out a pattern and getting all of the bombs with the fuses lit... and working the coins for bonus multiplier.

I love this game. We scored one from an old warehouse. I ordered a jamma converter so I can play it in my Egret 2.

I do not even know what to think......... I am intrigued though.......

The guy in the video is a stone-cold killer on this game, that is for sure.

Damn good game. Didn't like it at first til I got how to really play. Jump high pressing up, cut your jump short by pulling down, flap a bit to slow your descent... great game once you get a feel for it. One glitch I noticed is when you get enough fireballs to get the Special Bonus, those points added do not count towards the extra life. So it gets confusing really fast, in that respect.

I like the sequel they made for the NES. Added some platforming levels with the original levels between each one. Completely forgot about this game until just now

By Tehkan. Later changed name to Tecmo. Bomb Jack even makes a cameo in the NES smash hit, Tecmo Super Bowl.

BTW, Tecmo is now out of business. :(

When did this happen? I thought I saw an updated release of Tecmo Bowl for the DS a little while back

Now I gotta go play me some Tecmo Super Bowl, lead the Bills to victory for once

According to wikipedia, 2010.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tecmo

On August 29, 2008 Square Enix made plans for a friendly takeover of Tecmo by purchasing shares at a 30 percent premium with a total bid of ¥22.3 billion.[6] On September 4, 2008 Tecmo officially declined the takeover proposal.[7] Tecmo subsequently engaged in talks with Koei about a possible merger between the two companies,[8] and agreed in November 2008 to merge on April 1, 2009 to form Tecmo Koei Holdings.[9] On January 26, 2009 the two companies officially announced the merger, and the holding company formed on April 1, 2009 as planned

It was reorganized, but Team Ninja is still around:

All that wikipedia browsing also told me that the next Ninja Gaiden game is to be produced by the guy who made Mega Man... Shits gone all topsy turvy

I watched about a minute of that before I got bored. You just jump in the air and wiggle?

More or less, all pacman is is just running around and eating dots :D

Bomb Jack rules! Best game on the 60-in-1 pcb. Total sleeper game and watching the awesome play in the video doesn't help you understand how fun and interesting the game is.

Another multiplier coin comes out every 5K, so that's why the hitting against the border is done.

Grabbing the bouncing P when it's a certain color bumps the multiplier for the creatures you kill too. Most of the game surrounds getting that 5X before the level is up and getting close to the 5K boundary at the end of each board (to get it quicker on the next level)

The P comes out after eating a certain number of bombs. Counting helps.

And, of course, getting the firebombs in order gives you a nice bonus at the end of each round.

It's all about milking each level..

This used to be in the cafeteria at my Tech School back in the day.
