Bob Roberts, cross-shipping in jeopardy.

One time when I was first starting out, Bob gave me one hell of a freebie. I don't really want to mention what it was, because then maybe others will expect it, but he gave me I am not shitting you about 30 or 40 bucks worth of stuff free. This was in a sub-$100 order.


For the next 5 or 6 orders, I didn't get anything, then after that I started getting the regular lagniappe. I think he somehow actually keeps track of ALL THIS SHIT like he's the Arcade game God or something.

Actually, now that I think of it... Bob's probably here with us right now.
 
Put in my first order with him this afternoon. I tried to the night before but apparently he just sold his last translucent green trackball out of a batch of 6 he bought 15 years ago, so no restock. I'll have to get the trackball from arcadeshop, but to justify the shipping cost of the backlighting kit for the trackball I wound up ordering some joystick springs I needed, wedge lamps to replace the burnt out one in the millipede and the cap kit for the ARII, which is working fine on mine but looks like those caps have never been touched. Got him set up in my online billpay, from the email it sounds like he's not cross shipping but I was expecting that given that it's my first order. Will report back if he does wind up cross shipping it.

He does keep track of everything. On my last order in Feb (gotta order around Mardi Gras), he forgot a couple sets of coin mech studs in my order. I let him know, but said it was no big deal since they were such small parts. I completely forgot about it until my next order arrived and included were 2 sets of studs. You just don't get that kind of service anywhere anymore.

My order shipped yesterday and should arrive tommorow. This is the message he sent me after I asked about cross shipping being in jeopardy......

We've been having so much trouble with payments over the past 3 months that Alice has been removing anyone whose payment is late from the cross ship list

Someone always has to ruin it for everyone else. Glad I'm never late. I could'nt imagine how I'd get top notch service or parts without Bob.
 
Got an email late last night after I'd gone to bed that mine cross shipped yesterday. I guess sharing that I'd set up him up in my bank's billpay and the date the bank had for when the check should be to him was enough to avoid the concerns of being a first time buyer. Real easy process on my end, just click "pay this person" and let my bank take care of the cost of the stamp and getting it in the mail. Wish I'd called arcadeshop to order the actual trackball yesterday, but maybe I'll recap my ARII this weekend instead of doing the trackball stuff.
 
My parts got here today, got the email from Bob saying he'd gotten the payment (quicker than the bank said it'd get there), cross shipping rules and is dirt simple after setting up bob in online billpay. Didn't get any extra goodies in there, but it was like a $30 order and there was near zero extra space in the package, so wasn't expecting it.
 
I posted this list to my site and two of these people contacted me. LOL! One said he'd take care of it, well it has been many months and never heard from the guy and he is still on the list. Another one contacted me today and gave a heap of excuses, I'm like why tell me? Sigh... Of course he said he would take care of it but I expect nothing. It is mildly entertaining though. :D

That totally blows. I would like to cross reference them here and perm ban them until they pay up. Anyone know the email addresses for the deadbeats on Bob's list?
 
Just throwing in that Bob cross-shipped my first and second order, both placed within the last 2-3 months. Check was in the mail the day after / evening of getting the total, respectively.
