Bob Roberts, cross-shipping in jeopardy.

Bob should just do away with cross shipping . Not that I don't like it but it would be one less thing for him to worry about .

My boss was one of these people, and got upset when Bob didn't cross-ship something just because my boss didn't send the check for two weeks (twice). This was over a year ago and we haven't ordered anything from Bob since because my boss got mad at Bob for not trusting us, even though he'd treat customers the same way.

For all of my personal orders, I mail the check the morning after I get the e-mail from Bob with the total, and I let him know it's on the way. Sometimes my check and his package arrive on the same day...

People should only order from Bob Roberts if they have the money in hand when they place the order. I suspect that the problems are coming from people who expect to have the money in a couple of days or whatever. Anything can happen in a couple of days.

I've always sent my payment the day after Bob confirms the order. Didn't even know about the 10 day thing and of course have never gotten an email regarding non payment.

Well the problem is lots of people are lazy jackasses and they will abuse the system .

I wouldn't blame him in the least. It sounds like he's doing away with it for people who've failed to live up to their part of the deal, which is good (I suspect those folk don't plan to rip Bob off, they're just the kind who can't be bothered to do their part until you hassle them).

I think Bob's great for being willing to cross-ship, and I hope he can continue to do so.

Yes, plz stop the mess and dont jack it up for the rest of us..LOL

I basically do the same as Modessitt, send the money when I get how much and then let him know..easy peasy lemon squessy...

he should do away with email orders too, must mail in hand written letter, then he sends letter back to confirm, then you send him money, then he sends parts, a well oiled machine for sure.

Me too. I write the check and drop it in the mail right after Bob sends me the confirmed total. I email him when I send the check and when I receive the package and he emails that he got the check.

A pretty good system for those that play in good faith.

As soon as I get the total from Bob, I log on to my bank and type the numbers in! Takes all of 42 seconds. There is _absolutely NO EXCUSE_ for people not living up to their part of the cross shipping deal. If they want 30 days FOB, open an account with Happ!

[this kind of crap really irks me...]

I'm going to have to try out that bank bill pay option, that sounds great!

It all comes down to respect, like the first poster pointed out. Fucking around with money you owe somebody is the 1st sign of a lowlife.

obvisously its someone that has bought from him before , becuase i dont think he does it to first-time-buyers... But for the ones thats not paying "WTF???" If you dont have the money...DONT BUY THE STUFF THEN!!!!

Exactly what I do. I was shocked the first time I ordered and he sent me an email that he shipped it and I had just mailed the check.

Sad thing is there are people who pay late and also that never pay whether it's from Bob or in local dealings. It seems that too many people today aren't people of their word. - Barry

He DOES cross ship for 1st time buyers too, believe it or not. The guy's incredible.

I would imagine most of the problem though, yes, is with people who have bought before.
