I have an original Pacman PCB that has been converted to Boardwalk Casino......I would like to convert it back. Does anyone know what all chips I need to get my Pacman board back to original?

ROMs, color PROMs, Z80... just like jrpac...

I'm sure someone would be happy to take the boardwalk stuff off your hands if it's working...

I found a conversion manual here:

http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ARCADE/A-J/Boardwalk Casino [Conversion Kit] [English].pdf

You should be able to just do the steps in reverse. You'll need PROMs 4A, 7F and 5E for sure. There are 8 other chips that the manual says "may be removed or left on the board for storage", so hopefully your board still has them.

I felt like shouting out "Noooooooo!!" after reading this paragraph in the manual:

"The manufacturer strongly recommends that you paint your old cabinet. It is essential that you cover all PAC-MAN and Midway decals. We have provided exciting new graphics so that when freshly painted, your old game will look brand new and will be easily recognized as the exciting new game "BOARDWALK CASINO".

Thought I would share some pics...looks like they followed the manual regarding painting the cabinet. If fact they were even nice enough to use oil base paint!!! I ended up sanding and repainting it black for a 60in1 conversion. Oh well.

Yea, the board is in great condition and working. Not sure what direction I will go with it....convert it back or sell it as-is. Does anyone know what a working Boardwalk Casino/Pacman board is going for? Also included - the control panel, marquee, and bezel.

Oil was the way to go back then. I remember converting 10-20 pacs a week to Vs Super Mario Bro's. We sanded the cabs down to wood, primed and sprayed them with an auto paint! Man they came out nice. Brought new life into those dead pac cabs.

Thats what an operator would do with these bad boys... Sorry guys....
