The SF2--CE game board pic in the second pic. looks like every other CAPCOM SF2--CE pcb that I've seen. :)

But, the SF2--WW game board does not look like every other CAPCOM SF2--WW pcb that I've seen. . :(

That board looks a little odd to me.

1. CAPCOM put their STREET FIGHTER II -- WW, CE, and HF games on the CAPCOM PLAY STATION ONE (CPS-1) game boards. IT's a multli boad game board that consists of a system board ("A" board), and a game board ("B" board), and in most instances a daughter card ("C" board for suicide batteries, extra harnesses, custom chips, etc.). I don't see a CPS-1 configuration for that ST2--WW game board.

2. CAPCOM silk screened all thier game boards with CAPCOM logos and CACPCOM part numbers. I can't see any CAPCOM silk screened logo's and CAPCOM part numbers on it either.

3. CAPCOM also put game ID stickers over each Promgramable ROM (PROM) to protect the CAPCOM game code from being erased. Each game ID sticker also has a CAPCOM logo on it and a game ID number on it. I can't find any CAPCOM game ID stickers too.

4. CAPCOM manufactured each game with the same chip lay out on the board so all CAPCOM games look the same. (That is to say one SF2--WW made by CAPCOM looks just like antother SF2--WW made by CAPCOM.) That SF2--WW chip design doesn't look like another CAPCOM SF2--WW chip design.

5. Compare the first game board to a pics. of a STREET FIGHTER II game boards for sale at Quarterqrcade.com. (I chose this site cause they have good pics and they are on the pric:eek:y side--IMHO.) That SF2--WW game board doesn't look like another other CAPCOM SF2--WW game board.

STREET FIGHTER II -- WORLD WARRIOR: http://www.quarterarcade.com/GamePicture.aspx?c=&g=524&o=1&m=0&i=1&t=6
STREET FIGHTER II -- CHAMPIONSHIP ED. http://www.quarterarcade.com/GamePicture.aspx?c=&g=1603&o=1&m=0&i=1&t=6

6. Compare the first game board to a majority of SF2-- games for sale on eBay. Again, Again, that SF2--WW game board doesn't look like another other CAPCOM SF2--WW game board.

Street Fighter 2 World Warrior JAMMA Board: http://cgi.ebay.com/Street-Fighter-...366?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b879438e
STREET FIGHTER 2 champion edition JAMMA pcb board 148: http://cgi.ebay.com/STREET-FIGHTER-...497?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2562bf4651

I think someone else other than CAPCOM made that SF2--WW game board. :(

Yes the one he showed is WW but it looks like someone soldered right to the CPS1 Kick harness 10 pin connector.

???

Just count the number of ROMS near the back of the game board (aka the top board).

Notice that World Warrior has EIGHT ROMs near the back of the board.

And, notice that CHAMPIONSHIP ED. has only 3 ROMS near the back of he boad. Well, only, 2 ROMS are visible ROMS. The third ROM is hiding under the under the edge of the little "C" board.

The hard part is telling CHAMPIONSHIP ED. apart from HYPER FIGHTING without looking at the TITLE SCREEN--because these games both have 3 ROMS near the back of the board. ;)

Prairied1ll0's right: It's a WW game board, with a soldered on kick harness.

And, considering the price, is not a problem if you want to kick and punch in the game.

If you don't like it, you can easily de-solder the wires. Or, scrap it for CPS-1 parts.

:)

i've heard of the bootlegs but every WW i've seen looks like the one off the klov site. this is good info tho and i'll remember that. i often wondered if mine was bootleg or not i guess now i know.

also the "bootleg" ones i've seen tend to have a black wire soldered to the edge connector.... (on the component side somewhere around pins 20 and 26
