This was marked as Super Contra on the tag and then Contra in marker on the board. I have a Contra PCB and it looks nothing like this. I popped it in my Jamma and nothing. Any ideas?

You powered a board without knowing what it was...? It's probably nothing now.

Probably a bootleg Contra or Super Contra. I was working on a Contra board a few hours ago and it looked totally different too.

Ok, just honest ignorance here, so don't be too harsh:

As long as it's a jamma board, it should be standardized for the power input, controls, A/V output etc., right? I would not think there would be any reason to avoid hooking up a jamma board to a good jamma rig. Am I missing something that I should be looking out for?

I'm saying is what if it wasn't JAMMA? He could have messed up a lot of stuff.

It's marked Contra in felt on the board which is a jamma so I plugged it in. After I hooked it up and got nothing I went and pulled a contra board out of storage and they are not even close. That's why I asking as there are no other markings on it.

Bootleg something for sure. And FWIW, that edge connector looks to be JAMMA. At least GND and +5 seem to be in the right place. You could remove +12 and -5 and power it up without blowing anything up.

Not jamma it looks like the +5 is also at the bottom of the edge connector. Their are 2 pairs at the top of the edge connector like jamma, but their are also 2 pairs at the bottom of the edge connector.

Yeah, just noticed that. Still I dont think it would be damaged by hooking it up with -5 and +12 removed. He'd have to poke around for the monitor signal and the rest of the buttons though.

Contra bootleg...here's the picture. Too bad it's not better resolution to see the pinout on the manual front shown....
