Lol

Sold, thanks for the few pointers from those with positive comments and members that are here to help a fellow a member out, next time I ask for feedback I will not, it is amazing some of the hating people will do and just post negative B.S. If you do not like it just say so, but there is no need to be negative about it. Anyway thanks to Tim for buying the game, he seems to be more than happy with it and I am sure his kids will get plenty of enjoyment from it.

Not seeing a price up in here...?

Looks good in light...wouldn't want it lit up like that in the dark though. I'm one of "those" people that finds blue lights in the dark annoying as all getout. Stupid color receptors!

Not sure about the price, but I'd be more inclined to do me up a custom one. :)

Saw you are looking for feedback.

It is beyond ugly, and would ruin any home or business arcade that it was placed in. This is the type of machine that you will have nightmares about. Im pretty sure if I closed my eyes, grabbed a saw and some wood, I could make a better looking arcade game than that.

Please burn it.

looks like a piece of overpriced bullshit to me. gaudy as hell, tasteless.

Kinda cool looking for what it is. Would look wicked as hell if that screen was a nice 42" LCD instead of a tube.

I appreciate the time and effort it took to build this machine. However, there are some things that make it look like it's not worth $2400.00. The edges around the control panel and the bottom edge below the coin door look rough, almost like they were damaged at one point and repaired.

To me, for $2400.00 it needs to look like it rolled off of an assembly line. I am not saying it needs to look like everything else out there, but the quality of the piece needs to be at the highest level. For this $1000.00 to $1250.00 would be a fair price to someone who wasn't a serious collector of games and just wanted to add something to their basement people would enjoy.

I hope I didn't offend you in any way, it's just my opinion.

Well I will give you credit you didn't wreck a classic cab for your MAME project. WIth this crowd goolduck finding someone to pay $2400.00 for it.

As far as a MAME cab it doesn't look horrible, it is a showcase cab, with some lights.

Personally I would pick this one up for $300.00 if I had the space and wanted a MAME cab.

Ouch. You guys are rough! But seriously, you probably won't find too many people on here willing to pay very much for a "Games Family" PC based emulation arcade game. Granted, the showcase cabinet is nice, but you have to consider that people on here would be more inclined to take an old converted NBA Jam cabinet and build a multi themselves by buying a "games family" board set from Nix or Paradise Arcade. For a total investment of less than $500, they would have the same games as your setup. Of course, it wouldn't be glowing blue and all, and the cabinet wouldn't have as much elbow room or as nice a monitor, but most people on here wouldn't mind, since it cost them $1,900 less than buying a deluxe cabinet already built.

There is absolutely, positively a market for you. And you won't have much trouble selling this to the right buyer(s). They just don't exist here. And this is coming from someone who has WELL OVER $3,000 invested in an Ultracade setup...

Thanks for the feedback, I even stated that I was not trying to sell it, but I had a repeat customer pick it up from me, all I wanted was some feedback and some helpful hints for improvement.

Why put this in the "For Sale" section then, why list a price? After reading what you had posted...with a price, it sure seemed as though you were looking to sell it.

My post wasn't intended to be negative if you took it that way, more so realistic. I thought your price point would be high for these forums, (and I linked another similar cab to show my reasoning), however in a retail enviroment or ebay it isn't totally out of line, and I could see myself buying your MAME machine for 2 grand, had I had that money 10 years ago. But knowing what I know now, and most of it learned via this web site that is far more then I would pay now. And I wouldn't call myself a cheap bastard, there are guys here that put me to shame in that category.

I do think you should be careful though as one of your major selling points were the number of games that you placed on there. You are in effect selling someone else's work. You are selling someone else's copyright, and I would encourage you to be careful in that regard. Sure you spent time gatehring and testing those ROM's but that is nothing compared to what went into to creating those games. In essence sell your cab, its abilities, but not the games, don't make them the "selling point".

If in the future you are just looking for feedback try the general section, you will probably get better "feedback" there then the for sale forum. The only feedback you really get here is opinions based on price (it's almost always too high), or condition.

Have a nice weekend.
