blue, green, yellow, white, black.... no red

Is this a problem with the tube or a color transistor.... I have everything except red, but the green is more yellow than green.... so it pretty much looks blue and yellow but there is some green as well... monitor is a WG k4600... cant find a layout of neckboard that looks like mine. Should I just swap transistors or take the monitor in to "rejuvenate" it?
 
First, check the model of the particular video interface card that's installed on your monitor. Some of the early ones have an odd pinout as shown here:

It's possible there may be a bum transistor on the video interface card or cold solder joints on the video signal input header pins on the card.

Transistors on the neckboard might have a problem. The neckboard trimpots are usually pretty robust on this model and don't usually go bad, but there's always a possibility.

Yes, the tube could even have a problem. A rejuvenator will tell you for sure.

cold solder joints

what is a cold solder joint??? I keep hearing of these... so basically all I can do is remove chassis, check everything out, maybe replace the transistors on neckboard and put it back in and hope for the best? I have been looking at that manual earlier today and the neckboard layout doesnt really look like mine... the tr401 transistor is right next to the tube pins and one end is actually soldered to one of the pins the... I cant tell if this is supposed to be that way or not because I can't find a proper looking layout... I will post a picture tomorrow of the neckboard... everything seems to work at least up to the neckboard... thanks
 
I recently fixed a 4600 with a missing color (red) that turned out to be a bad transistor on the Interface card...

DEFINITELY a dead red. It's common to see this on D9200s, and on those chassis, the color driving transistor on the neckboard is always the culprit... not sure where those are on a 4600, but look on the neckboard for three large, heatsinked transistors that are identical. Try swapping them around and see if the colors change.

The top left transistor on the interface board (left) with the connector facing down can go bad and cause red to go out. I just had one do this, and replacing that transistor fixed it.

This is where it's good to have another working 4600 around so you can swap the interface board to see if the problem is that board, neckboard, or even the tube...

That goes for any monitor, not just the 4600s. Having a second Rush 2049 with an identical D9200 has been a godsend in my battles with those monitors.
