Hi,
I got a Block 2 (by Game corp - ,probably SunA) and I don't find any pinout map for the connector. It was easy to identify the gnd, 5v, video and buttons(coins, p1/ps start and fire), but I struggle a bit with the paddle. I tried to connect a genuine Arkanoid to it, but besides a single pin which seems to somehow move the paddle to the right and in some condition almost jumping to the left I couldn't find another pin for the left. I'm thinking that this board may not even use an optical Arkanoid controller... Anyone has this board? Any hints about the controller please?
Also, I didn't start the sound yet, not sure if it uses the -5v or only 12v and which pins would those be on alongside with speaker output.
Thanks!

I have never seen any clone that didn't use a paddle. I suppose it's possible they made a joystick version, but I've never seen it.

Post pics. A lot of arkanoid boots I've tested used regular taito pinout.

Thanks, I managed to identify the pins for the paddle. Indeed I can play the game with a genuine Arkanoid paddle (pins 19 & 20 on the component side). The issue was that the left movement was not working till I soldered wire for the wire for the right movement. Playing up with the wire I found also a cheat, pin 17 connected to ground automatically moves the paddle towards the ball... thinking to install in secretly on button 3 to impress my friends with my paddle skills ;)

Last task is to figure out the sound pins, the 12v pin, and if the board uses the -5v at all. The sound amp is a NEC1182H

Many thanks! Looks spot-on with what I identified till now. You have an amazing docs collection :)

I can confirm that your pdf pinout matches my board too, now the sound works!
