You would need to get a specific hdd type. And no you wouldn't be able to upgrade to a blitz/showtime that is a completely different board type. But I believe you could upgrade to a 2000 gold edition at least.

My recommendation would be just get a compact flash upgrade kit instead of messing with a hdd.

Do it myself or buy off ebay?

Seattle is a single board. Only Vegas (three boards) can play blitz/showtime.

You also need to match the boot rom to the version of the hdd.

just buy the CF card version from below. I have done it myself (buy card, buy adapter, burn image using chdman) many times but the time and trouble wasn't worth it IMO.

Also the only blitz2k version for arcade is Gold. AFAIK. That was a delineation between console port and arcade or something.

The blitz2k image floating around on mame has issues...another reason to just buy from below.

Thank you for the time. Ill try burn on spare hdd.

I replaced HDD and it boots up fine but PCB 3 led (reset). It would just reset few mins. I suspect overheating somewhere.

Any tips?

Much appreciated in advance.
