I purchased a working blitz 2000 gold board off of ebay that was converted to a flash drive for the hard drive. I installed it into a blitz 99 cabinet and added a brand new wiring harness. It worked for about 2 weeks and then it just quit working. When I power it up the 3 led lights all light up in a certain sequence, then the HD light flashes once and then the lights all shut off and it does the same thing over and over. I can't get it to the test screen. I have tried it on my test bench setup and another cabinet and have got the same result. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? Do the flash drives go bad like the hard drives do? Any help would rule.

Thanks!

flash drives can go bad, yeah. anything can go bad. lol

get out your multimeter and test the voltage. it's likely your power supply might not be adjusted right.

people insist this game is a "power hog" (actually the Seattle boardset itself) but I've been able to operate it at 5.15V.

you can either test it at the JAMMA harness or the now-unused hard drive plug on the red and black wires for this, and make your changes at the +5 adjustment knob on the power supply accordingly.

if you're unsure of how to do this, please say so. and don't operate the game until you check this.

otherwise, if the power's good, then you can try reseating the flash drive.

Thanks, I will check the voltage next then and reseat the flash disk. Hopefully I can get to that tonight.

Thanks again,

Test Bench Power Supply Readings

Okay I tested both my test bench power supply, a suzo/happ newer model and I got:

Suzo/Happ
+5: 5.17
-5: -4.70
+12: 12.02

I also tried re-seating the flash drive, and I tried removing the ribbon and putting it back on.

What do you think I should check next? Thanks in advance

I will take a video of the what the board does with the lights and post a youtube link soon.

Thanks,

-JC
